Ok, sent mine in... three hours to go, if anyone else wants in on these picks in this contest.
One question, though. Maybe someone esle already asked, I did not see it in this thread. If I missed it, then sorry for repeating it...
Will all the picks be posted here ranking from the winner with the most points to the person with the least points? I would love to know how my picks did compared with the others just to see where I placed... even if I'm at the very bottom, LOL

Chuck Liddell vs. Jeremy Horn Horn/Submission/round 4
Randy Couture vs. Mike Van Arsdale Couture/decision/round 3
Diego Sanchez vs. Brian Gassaway Sanchez/Submission/round 1
Frank Trigg vs. Georges St. Pierre St. Pierre/Submission/round 2
Tim Sylvia vs. Tra Telligman Sylvia/KO/round2
Matt Lindland vs. Joe Doerksen Doerksen/Submission/round 3
Travis Lutter vs. Trevor Prangley Prangley/TKO/round 2
James Irvin vs. Terry Martin Irvin/KO/round 1
Good luck to the participants in the contest, and in the words of Big John, "LET'S GET IT ON!!!!"

Can someone keep me and others who aren't able to watch this event updated on the fights. I'm too poor and can't afford cable. I tried to find a bar that was showing it around here but no one seems to have that much of an interest in showing UFC.

I actually would agree with your picks for the most part. Except you counting Trauma out. I think he is going to turn some heads tonight.

UFC ppv on the WEB/Webcast?
Does anyone know if you can buy/ppv UFC-54 live on the web? Webcast?
I don't have a TV or Cable TV, only cable internet, 2 pc's, 4 monitors.
I'm jonesin' to see this fight. Just moved here and don't know neighbors yet.
Any idea's?
Thanks,
J
{webcast may be a pipedream as I've searched for more than an hour on google and yahoo.}

I don't think so. I'm on vacation at a hotel that said they had PPV but what they meant was you can pay per view of movies. Now I'm sitting here not watching the fight and I'm pissed.

bummer...
Perhaps Dana will include ppv~webcast in the future. I'd pay the same price even if the quality is not as good as tv.
At least I have a buddy in San Diego who is going to update me &/or stay on the phone (cell) during the fights. (weekends are free!!! finally I'll get my monies worth out of my cell phone plan)
fyi... if you are near a bar, you may be able to get them to buy it if you pay for it on the spot. I did that once. Worth a try anyway.......

I would like to see a webcast as well as I can't afford cable. I don't know if I would pay the same price as watching it on TV though.

Yea, I agree on the price issue.
But, if webcast ever does happen...the price will be the same. The networks that carry the ppv event would most likely demand it, if they even allow a 'ppv webcast UFC'. A webcast would be competition where there currently is none, in our homes. We only have one tv service in our homes, hence only once ppv option.

True. It definitely would be a good decision for Dana to make. I agree about the price. Though I wouldn't like it I would still pay for it because I have no other option. I don't see why they wouldn't be able to. You can stream movies through web services but I guess that is different since the fight is a live event and not on film. Seriously though just throw a camera in there somewhere. Us web junkies are willing to fork over the money to watch the events that we normally can't watch live.

Tech wise, the UFC could post via webcast very easily and cheaply. We all know that.
Frank Trigg just choked out by St. Pierre...1st round.
