BODOG fights: *Spoiler

the bodog fights were okay, with quite a few of them being complete snore fests, Chael Sonner's fight was one along those lines. The Trevor Prangley fight was pretty decent tho. along with the heavyweight fight that Ronaldi got the victory in, after taking a huge knee. any further thoughts on Bodogfights? and what the future of bodog has in store.

For the main fights i was disapointed with the stop by the ref giving Pele the victory over Silva. Silva didnt get KOed and he was doing a pretty good job in defending himself while Pele was trying to lay some punches down.
For the Gracie v Waterman, it was pretty quick and you didnt see too much, iunno why Waterman would take him to the ground in the first place, knowing this guy is a Gracie and can pull a sub. outa no where. Roger looked pretty good while we saw him, he has not much standup(which hes working on supposedly) i think a guy who could brawl from his feat and avoid the submissions every now and then could beat him without too much problem lol.

wasnt a too bad set up for a show, if they get some more decent fighters in there organization it will look pretty well.

-Pele ran away from Silva like his name was Mark Hominick,practically jumped out of the ring to avoid getting KOed,and then proceeded to take a 3 minute break from an alleged groin strike that hit his stomach.

He then lands a glancing right and sits inside insdie of Silva's half guard landing nothing,and the ref jumps in.Terrible I say.

-Sonnen took LNP to the next level.He made early Koscheck look like Fedor.

-Chalangov/The Goat was a good fight,but too bad it ended with 1 second left.

-The chick fight was the saving grace of this card.

-Roger Gracie did exactly what was expected of him.The interviewer asked him if he wanted to fight Fedor next after his first MMA fight.WTF?

-The rest of the card was terrible,and we didn't even get to see the 3rd main event fight that they promised.Instead we got to see a crappy emo band,Bam Margera,and Bif Naked.

Definitely not worth 30 bucks,and I'll never buy another Bodog fight unless it somehow features Fedor/CroCop with Chuck/Wandy as co main event.

ya thats Bif naked girl, man she got annoying real quick and i didnt watch that emo band, turn it right after she said the name of the band...and who was the 3rd main fight they said was gunna be on there? Overall now that i think of it, it was pretty bad like u say...its was pretty cool tho to see them chicks fight tho.

i was kinda angry when Pele won that it was BS right from the get go like u said, the brakes this guy got. Silva was 1 second away from a knock out, they stand it up, c'on....buddy fakes a groin injury, man his rolles of his stomach were covering that region, then the freak, so called KO hit, which when i saw it Junior missed a punch and fell down lol....c'on get a good ref,

There was supposed to be a Riley/Alvarez title fight,but it got scrapped for the ring girls and the emo band.

I tried my hardest to get into the Bodog fights when they showed them on the Men's Channel. I just couldn't. Didn't find it all that exciting. i was wondering if anyone was going to get it. Sorry to hear it was a disappointment.

I've never complained about a MMA event but this was poor. Not too many fighters seemed to be going for the finish. Gracie was the only one that got me excited. Good thing I didn't have to pay for it. I hope they can improve in the future.

Ya I felt that way about it as well. It really pissed me off when they had all the crappy filler like bif naked, said emo band ect. They were bragging about it being an hour longer than most mma events but that extra hour was all bs. Crappy band + Stupid Bam Margera clip + Bif Naked + ring girl introductions= one ridiculous hour of my life that I will never get back.

I do have to say that thier hour filler was better than PRIDE's Real Deal's with the same poor fight shown again right after it happened. How excited were those fans in the house? Like crickets most of the time. Did anyone else notice the Russian fighters didn't seem to know very many techniques?

It really is too bad. I like Cheal Sonnen and Pele, but I guess they were just not in a good event and not doing their best work.

I don't know anyone who saw this that thought it was good. A swing and a miss for Calvin Ayre. I don't know who thinks it's a good idea to scratch arguably the most hyped fight on your card for an emo band. That seems like common sense to me. I'm sure Bif Naked would have made me go insane pretty quickly. And from the heresay, the female fight was one of if not the best fight. At least it helped getting them more exposure. Gotta find the silver lining =)

Did anyone like the set up of Bodog tho...i thought bodog looked like it had pretty good potential to be a good association, if they get the fighters in there ppl will like it more...Fedor will add alot to this...what you think about the set up of bodog, i think they need to get a good person thats able to talk and kno what there talking about for the MC...bif naked just didnt work, anoying as hell...
