Well I didn't see it. But I read about it. That's what I was referring to though. James Irvin KO'd Terry Martin. Sherdog said it was a highlight reel worthy KO. Too bad I wasn't able to see it.

Liddell got a verbal tap out TKO from Jerry Horn when Horn said that he could no longer see... Chuck Liddell rocked Horn in the first and second rounds, which were being scored in Liddell's favor. Horn got some respect back in the third, and might have won the third on points. Liddell was dominant in the fourth as wll... and Horn verbally gave up. Chuck would have won the fourth round and likely the fifth round as well, and would have won any decision (IMO). The Iceman beat Horn so he could not see... that is pretty tough.
I was surprised by James Irvin's TKO by flying knee to Terry Martin that ended that fight in the second round. Irvin really did a number on Martin. I was unsure how round one scored, but Martin looked like he might have won round one in points. Irvin just ended it with flash and power. A flying knee? That was sweet.
I was also a bit surprised by that head kick by Tim Sylvia that punctuated the ending to that first round KO. He hit Tra Telligman right before the ending bell for the first round and it was over.
Some other great matches also went on... Diego Sanchez won his debut match in style and authority (ground and pound into tap out) in the second round. Randy Couture made Mike Van Arsdale submit (to a gator roll lock?). Randy was using serious knee bars, neck cranks, and knees to the shoulder, and it paid off with a submission victory.
And, for the third time in a row... Frank Trigg tapped out to a rear naked choke hold. But (IMO) Georges St. Pierre was really beating the snot out of Trigg. I mean, St. Pierre did it with authority, if you ask me... Score one for the Montreal Canadian fighter I have some relatives up in Montreal who are very happy for the home town boy.

'Subgenius'... you're right on with your post IMO, even though I "listened via cell phone."
My last thought tonight... Georges St. Pierre is an under-rated fighter. He's only lost once to Matt Hughes. IMHO, I think St. Pierre is going to be one of the next big names @ 170lbs in the UFC. There are some great names in the 170 class right now. Tanner, Franklin, Baroni?, Lawler, Lindland, etc... don't forget Diego Sanchez, but he needs a few more fights with top fighters. St. Pierre has a great opportunity to be the shiznit @ 170. Most others underestimate him. If he perfects and strengthens his 'striking' skills, he will be a very...very, dangerous fighter.
Whoo Hooooo for us fans!!! The suspense thickens! :-)

Actually Baroni is in Pride now. St. Pierre is impressive. Just look at how well he has done and still has a career ahead of him.

Three of us tied for 13 points? Cool I was a bit unsure about my point count, but 13 is cool. I lost on Trigg as well... Congrats to TommyGunnSexy05 (15pts) for winning, and everyone that scored.

Yeah, it looks like there was a solid turnout for the prediction contest. Good job..
And I got 7th. Not too bad for a rookie.
I'm looking forward to the next one.
