You know what ALWAYS gets me? Why don't these guys train and make weight before getting in to the show? lol
Wouldn't it be so much easier to work yer ass off 1-4 weeks before going on the show really hard, then when you get there, it will be a walk in the park.... You can work on fighting and intimidating others.... heh

You'd think these geniuses would've thought of that.

bunch of pussies. I hope the show picks up. Dana White said it best when he lectured them. I feel bad for the guys who really wanted a chance to be on the show and got screwed over by these puss balls.

My 2 cents on episode 1:

Felt pretty bad for the guy who screwed up his knee...especially when they had a close up on his face when Dana announced he couldnt continue..thought for sure he was going to cry.

I appreciate the guys who weren't all cocky and talking smack... funny how that one guy talking smack about hitting someones head like a pinata until the candy came out actually quit...what a joker!

The spiritual "chi" guy who "doesn't have to eat steak everyday to be a fighter" did great at the wall sit. I would like to see that guy do well.

My favourite guy so far has to be the one who always talks about the sport with respect. And how he wants these fighters to portray that they are "professional" athletes. I agree with him 100% and will give them as much respect as any other pro athlete...but I also expect these guys to handle themselves in a respectful manner...I think this guy understands that.

Glad we got the p__s__s out of the way in the first show.. would have been nice to see an actual fight, but hopefully the rest of the series will be awesome!!!!!!

ps. props to Franklin and Hughes for controlling their tempers LOL

i finally got to see the premiere of TUF 2..and i was in total shock...first of all. that guy kenny was forced to loose 21 pounds in like 3 days...this type of weight lose and what he was doing could of lead him to a heart attack or stroke... soembody could of been sued 4 sure...secong of all even if he made the weight he would be to exhausted and out fo place to fight the next day....he would of lost 4 sure, even tho the other guy was a puss....he did lokk down when he was chosing.....

and now the thing that pissed me off the most....ok pretend u were selected 4 the show...u know its a welterweight competiton..so u gotta be 170 or under...yet ever welterweight fighter shows up over weight....come on now....this is a n oppurtuntiy of a life time and u didnt even lose the weight for the competition...

this factor also kinda makes me think that the weights were made up jsut 4 a nice show...TUf wanted to show the guys working there buts off to loose weight as entertainment....cause think bout it...would u sohw up at 190 when u gotta be 170////wouldnt u trian b4 comin...unless of course they had like no warning that they were on the show...

its also funny how they call Luk the new diego....rich franklen i believe...and i cant wait to see tHAT ONE GUY MELVIN I THINK... the big talker....cant wait to see im fight to see if hes all tlak....sofar to me he seems all tlak...

peace

At least the "weakest" guys were eliminated. Maybe not the weakest in physical strength but definitely in mind strength. Have to agree with those that said it, you have to feel for the hundreds or thousands that may have had a legitimate chance of making the show, didn't and then two clowns that did make it quit. I've cut weight for wrestling and it sucks but man, I never wanted to quit over it. Now the guy we need to watch out for is Private Pile (Full Metal Jacket), sorry can't remember his name but he definitely wasn't dealt a full deck. On one hand I think he's the guy you need to watch out for, on the other I think he's going to get stomped the first time he fights. It's a wait and see for sure.

Yeah Eli wussed out. Everyone knows that. It wasnt because of the cameras either. He got the crap beat out of him during the workout and he quit cause he was to much of a pus not to lose on camera. I am personal friends with the guy who couldnt cut the 5lbs. and i would be willing to say he has more heart than anyone on these forums. So, those of you who do not train, or who have started watching ufc in the past year and think dana is god, or who have never had to cut 20 pounds in one night, or who dont have balls enough to be a professional at anything, have no right to call someone a wuss for not being able to do something that they couldnt last 20 minutes trying to do. I tell ya what why dont we try cutting 20lbs. this weekend then get back on the forums and call names n stuff. I think that would be the fair option.

I no doubt know it's very tough to cut that much weight. I don't remember how much Ken had to cut to fight Tito but it obvioulsy took a toll on him physically.

It was kinda dumb however to be at that weight in the first place.
I was pissed cause I know Sam (that's your friends name right?) was gonna murder that other kid. He definitely picked the right guy to fight. I think he would've done well too. (I have Jorge Gurgel all the way though)

I agree with the others here who said the fighters should have worked on cutting weight before the show. Honestly, these guys train hard to be in the best shape required just to get noticed/get on the show, so having their weight in check for whatever weightclass they always planned to be in should also have been a high priority LOOOOOONG before TUF2 even came around.

To add to that, all the fighters should be working to reach the weight now instead of waiting till its their time to fight. Maybe if Kenny had been working at it ahead of time instead of trying to cramm in the whole 20lb-loss in just a day,he might not have been so overwhelmed.

Like dana said at the end of episode 1 to the others: "start on the weight NOW".

thats exactly what im talknig about...lossing 20 pounds is to hard in just one day...i agree that those who think sam opr keenny wasa puusy( forget name) ashould try to lose the 20 ppounds over the weekend...personally i once had to lose 10 pounds in 1 weeek...compared to 1 day...and i felt so much weaker after that....i could only imaging 20 in 1 day....close to suicidal

the only time i have ever come close to losing that much weight in a short period of time is when i ran out of water one time when i was cycling. i thought i had brought enough. when i had left my home it was cool out and cloudy. about an hour into my ride the sun came out and it hit 90 or more degrees. that makes it over 100degrees on the road. i was dying, i drank the last of my water and struggled home. easliy one of the worst experiences of my life. i can't tell you how much weight i lost but it was probably close to 20 lbs. i had to call into work and i did'nt feel right for days. not something i would ever want to do intentionally.

I would imagine its that guy who was bragging about having 28 KOs or something. The guy's ego might get him into trouble.

i think a fight in the house could get you kicked off the show. the fights should stay in competition from. yeah, its a reality show. this is one reason the UFC wanted SPIKE to pick up TUF again. other networks showed interest but wanted to change the format to focus more on the drama and less on the fighting.

On MMA weekly, they got news that the kid Eli who "hated the cameras" was fibbing at his reasons for leaving. Keith Jardine and another guy when sparring apparently kicked/slammed and submitted the everloving crap out of him...
