i think this is even bigger than the wanderlei/chuck dream fight .. also maybe a little bit more insight in why crocop came to the ufc ... i know everyone wants to see the rematch between them and is a big deal, but the thought of having crocop as the ufc champ fight fedor as the pride champ on new years eve to become the undisputed #1 fighter in the world ..

It could definitely happen, I think Cro Cop will have little to no problem tearing through the UFC Heavyweight division, Sylvia just won't be able to handle Cro Cop's leg kicks. I've never really understoop why Sylvia's opponents don't utilize leg kicks to open up the striking and take down opportunities. Anyway, Cro Cop will be the UFC Heavyweight Champion before 2007 is over and we can only hope for a Fedor/Cro Cop rematch New Years Eve.

However, I would have to disagree that Fedor/Cro Cop 2 would be bigger than Wanderlei/Chuck. Chuck and Wanderlei are both almost exclusively strikers and having those guys both just swing for the fences Griffin/Bonnar style would be amazing. This second time around, Fedor would most likely take the fight to the ground and most likely dominate Cro Cop there. Although, if this fight stayed on the feet it would be very fun to watch.

And I also agree that Chuck-Wanderlei is a bigger deal. We've seen CroCop and Fedor, and it went the distance so they even had time to exercise their game plans. I'm not saying I don't want to see a rematch, but for the time being, it's settled -- Fedor won.

Chuck & Wanderlei is still one that we can only dream about.

I doubt we'll ever see Chuck vs. Wanderlei. As much as we'd all love to see it, there's just too much red tape to work through and not enough time to get it done. As we all know, Chuck turned 38 in December. He has probably 2 more years of his prime left in him and that's assuming no major injuries. The biggest reason he is still so good at this age is his style. He KTFO his opponents and usually does it early and takes little punishment in doing it. I think we can all agree that we don't want to see Wandy in his prime destroy a Chuck when he's a shadow of his former self. That would just be a tease of what could've been. Speaking of that... I hope Chuck walks away at the right time. At 38, that time has to be rapidly approaching. If he revenges his loss against Rampage and walked away, he'd go down as the greatest UFC champion ever.
