I am too suspicious of this situation. Mencia is on stage, but the Comedy Club simply allows Rogan to go on stage and punk him out? Highly doubtful. Then Ari is there just waiting in the wings for Rogan? Then Bobby Lee just happens to be there outside the club to talk with Rogan and the other comics? Were they all performing that night?
It would not surprise me if this was all staged as a joke. I mean, look at it this way, comic have always stolen each others jokes and bits. Whoppi Goldberg openly admits to taking Richard Pryor's work and making it her own. It is not called stealing. They call it borrowing. Non of those jokes can be patented. If Joe Rogan had a case, then it would be in court and not on stage.
I am leaning towards thinking this is all a joke that Mecia and Rogan are putting on people. I could be wrong. But, some things seem too convenient to be true or believeable.
