football hooliganism isnt cool in todays game. many clubs have been banned from competition for riots. my teams rivals are under investigation for rioting and sectarianism at football.
last month a police officer in italy died as a result of a riot.

over the years many fans have died at fotball grounds, most noteably liverpool vs juventus in the 80s when several fans died. all english clubs were banned from european competition as a result.

many clubs have their own associated "firm" or "casuals" organised groups of people who meet on matchdays for an organised fight.

many of the firms are based on race hate mods or political or religeous divides, such as the lazio ultras who are a right wing movement in comparison the the fc Roma left side.

Celtic (my club) is a catholic clubs and hosted some of the worlds most brutal riots in the 1970s against the protestand glasgow rangers. many deaths have occured.

in england 3 notebale football hooligan groups are recognised the combat 18 group assocated to chelsea are racist mob associated with the nazi party * the 18 stands for letters in the alphabet a and h, hitlers initials). other groups include MIllwall a small and unsuccesful club in lower divisions but has a fearsome reputation, and also west ham uniteds greenstreet mob.

south american football howver holds some of the worst football hooligans to date with the rivalry between river plate and boca juniors accounting for many many riots in the football stadium
