Diego v. Hughes (if it ever happens)...talk about not having a rooting interest. I know it's not hockey but I'll pull for a tie in this one.

hehe Matt and Diego are two unpopular guys

I really like them both... great fighers, always exciting to watch them. Both of them has been in some of the best fights ever... especially Hughes.

Now Matt seems abit cocky and Diego... well he is just weird.
But still love to watch them fight... thats worth so much more

Sanchez can beat anyone I mean anyone! hes smart for wanting Hughes instead of GSP. Hughes is the man in WW division his loss to GSP means very little in the grand picture and GSP really is still too new a champion to really establish himself. also I see GSP haveing a hard time with Serra. so Hughes is a bigger name tougher fighter and greater champion than GSP....THUS it makes perfect sense for Diego to want him.

No its the opposite way, Hughes easily out grapple diego, but diego has superior striking but doent have anywhere near the sprawl to stop the takedown

I would have said the same thing before the totally safe, uninspiring Lay 'n Pray of Hughes over Lytle. I still think he could win, but I doubt by a brutal GnP, unless he opens up somewhat.

Koscheck is no joke and has really improved lately. He's a very good overall athlete. He and GSP are the best overall athletes in the division and two of the best pure athletes in MMA, period. Diego is more polished right now, but this isn't going to be a cake walk for him and if he's expecting it to be, then I expect him to get his ass whupped. This is going to be a good fight. I'd also love to see a Diego/Parisyan rematch. That was a war! If Parisyan has improved his cardio, he'd take a rematch. Diego's cardio pulled him through in the third.

Oh, and Diego/Hughes? It'd be a massacre. Hughes would slam him and GnP him to submission. The only guys Hughes is going to struggle against are elite stikers who are excellent athletes who can move quick enough to avoid his slams and pick apart his stand up game. The only guy who really fits this description in the division is GSP.

Oh please.

Then why didn't he GnP Lytle into submission?
Diego is just a bit better on the ground than Lytle.
Hughes's only way of beating Diego would be via LnP-decision.

wow, I'm stunned at how many people are out of touch with reality when they think Diego would beat Hughes...let alone Man handling Hughes. I'd love to see that fight...because Hughes will crush Diego....Diego would stfu and drop out of the lime light.

your kidding right... GSP is better than hughes right now and i don't know what you are talking about with GSP having problems with serra, hughes was dethroned if you could remember, how can you say that he is the one to beat and "he was" a great champion but that was until he was stopped by GSP. O and diego vs GSP right now i think GSP would be able to pull off the win for sure i don't think he is at the level of GSP yet but he will be very soon.

I think sanchez has a better standup then kos does. Kos looks like hes uncomfortable boxing with people he just looks to stiff. I think Diego's going to win his fight.

Hughes is a much more interesting fight for Sanchez. Hughes is stronger and I think he has better ground work but I don't think he can fight on his feet as well as Sanchez can. I don't really know who I would pick in that fight. I would go with Sanchez because I am a homer.

Diego's knock out against Joe Riggs was very impressive, but Matt's fights besides G.S.P he is always awesome. I think though that Matt will win this one. if it happens

I hope Dana will set up this fight cause I personally not a fan of either fighter but I really think Hughes time has come to pass the torch cause he will not be champion again.....I don't even think Matt Hughes will beat Diego...GSP will hold this title for a while but the only opponent that I really think deserves a title shot first is Diego instead of Matt Serra. But I have heard that GSP's second title defense will be against Matt Hughes again, if GSP beats Matt Serra, which I think he will, but Dana should have made GSP's second title defense against Diego, then after if GSP is still champion, then Matt Hughes should have the re-match.....

Matt Has a very good chance in beating Diego, Diego has lots of aggression in his fights and Matt always seems calm to me and who knows he might submit Diego if they fight.
