Jacob "Tito" Ortiz? His name is Jacob?!? LOL. I'm keeping that. Anyway, oh please. Give me a break, Jacob. The fact is that he asked for this fight. He insisted on it as a condition of re-signing with the UFC. Dana gave him what he wanted. Tito asked for the fight, they agreed on a date, and Dana trained for it and squared everything away with the commission. If Jacob doesn't care where the money's going, then why does he need a contract?
He's also tried playing the card that preparing for the fight meant disrupting his training and potentially complicating his scheduled fights and appearances. That would imply that he didn't anticipate having ANY fights or appearances scheduled when he initially asked for the fight?
Jacob has made a bunch of noise about how everyone was going to get paid in this deal except him. I'd like to see proof of that. If he's got numbers, or if there's any source anywhere that shows that Dana and the UFC planned to make any money off this, I want to see it. Because all I've ever heard is that any money made (which would have come only from Spike buying the show to broadcast) was going to charity. And yet, Jacob wanted to get paid.
He asked for the fight, he got the fight, and he backed out at the 11th hour. Dana isn't disrespecting "all fighters" -- don't make me laugh. He's disrespecting Jacob, because the kid hasn't changed a bit.
