I‘M BACK . . . I AM SO BACK. THE PAST FEW YEARS HAVE BEEN A REAL JOURNEY - THE JOY OF VICTORY AND THE AGONY OF DEFEAT. AFTER FIGHTING FOR THE UFC MIDDLEWEIGHT TITLE IN NOVEMBER 2005 I WAS DIAGNOSED WITH A POTENTIALLY CAREER ENDING BACK CONDITION. I UNDERWENT A RADICAL NEW SPINAL SURGERY, GOT SOME PARTS REPLACED AND NOW I’M THE BIONIC MAN - BETTER THAN I WAS BEFORE . . . BETTER, STRONGER, FASTER.
I’LL BE FIGHTING IN THE UFC AGAIN VERY SOON - WHEN I HAVE DEFINITE DATES, I’LL POST IN ON MY WEBSITE AND SEND OUT A BULLETIN ON www.myspace.com/rockquarry. ADD ME TO YOUR “FRIENDS LIST” ON MYSPACE AND YOU CAN GET MY INSTANT UPDATES. WHEN I GET BACK IN THE OCTAGON LOOK OUT - I’LL BE THROWING SOME “ROCK” HARD PUNCHES WITH MY CONCRETE FISTS.
TO MY FANS - I READ EVERY EMAIL THAT YOU SEND - YOU INSPIRE ME TO GO THE EXTRA MILE. I WISH I COULD RESPOND TO EVERYONE PERSONALLY, BUT I KNOW YOU’D RATHER HAVE ME TRAINING AND NOT SITTING AT THE COMPUTER. WHAT I’LL DO FOR YOU GUYS IS CHOOSE THE MOST COMMON QUESTIONS AND ANSWER THEM IN MY MYSPACE.COM/ROCKQUARRY BLOG. THANKS AGAIN FOR YOUR SUPPORT!
-NATE “ROCK” QUARRY

Glad to see. I always liked him. I just think he was rushed into the title fight with Franklin.

I really like the guy and I am rooting for him; but as long as their are hard knockers in the MW division like Silva and Frankiln he will not win the title. Quarry is a great skriker w/ his fist but he is thin for a MW and will get thrown around by bigger 185 pounders like Rich did to him. I havent seen him on the ground that much so I cant comment about that. I do hope I am wrong b/c I really like Quarry; he is a classy guy w/o all of the cheesey (Kenflo) semantics that some of the guys have.

This is probably the first time ever that I'm in favor of a first fight 'can'. I certainly hope the UFC does the right thing and eases him back in. He's got a lot of potential, but he's bound to have a lot of butterflies and rust.
...'Butterflies and Rust' would be a great band name, btw.

Can't wait, Quarry's fights in the UFC were really exciting and fast paced, even his fight against Franklin lol. I never do really see him being a contender again, but more like a fighter who you look forward to for a good show.

Maybe because he was a trainer/coach for the most part of TUF 1 but I just only see him in that role. I guess all the times I've seen him following down Couture and people to corner them he just comes across as that and not a UFC fighter to me. But I wish him the best because he always really seemed like a nice guy.

that might have something to do with it, TUF i mean. most of what we saw of Quarry during that show was him taking care of the house toddler Chris Leben. it was also kinda odd when he got all emotional after beating i think it was Shoney Carter. the guy is obviously a model citizen but he's sorta a misfit in a UFC world that is fueled by testosterone.

its too bad that when i think of Nate all i can see is Rich Franklin knocking him out. he looked awful in that fight, so mechanical and stiff. almost like he was overwhelmed from the first bell. i hope your right, and he does well for himself.
