Chuck/Rampage. Worth the $$$????
With UFC ticket prices going up, my wife (who manages all our $$$$), calls me up at lunch today and says "Let's go to UFC next month for Rampage/Chuck!"
I told her I thought we agreed we'd go to big events, and she was all "Doh, Rampage/Chuck is a big deal". So anyway, we're looking at for decent seats 500 bucks for her and I at least for mid-level seats. So. Question is.
Do you all think it'll be a good enough fight to throw downt hat dough, especially since your woman is the one who brought it up? Remember, we've met and kicked it with Rampage a few times in past events, so, is it her way of also trying to hook up with him? LOL. Kidding.
Is the Rampage/Chuck fight worth dropping a g on tickets 500 on room and maybe a couple g's on the slots????
That's usually our Vegas UFC budget in the past. So FF is it worth it?

No, cause that is alot of $ for a UFC event. I rather see it on PPV and still have enough money for other things to buy.

As of now, I really do not think UFC 71 is worth it. The card is rather lacking and to be compeltely honest, I'd rather sit back with a brew and watch from home for this card. Wait until a better card comes up I think. BUT OF COURSE, I REFUSE TO EVER DOUBT A CARD ANYMORE DUE TO RECENT EVENTS. (Ironic, because I just did, lol).
Anyways, I say no. Watch this one from home. It could be over quick.

If Chuck Liddell wins, it will not have been worth it, because this will go down in history as just another day when Chuck Liddell got out of bed, wrapped his hands up, and whooped some ass...
Now if Rampage wins and there's a new LHW champion, then it will have been money well spent, especially seeing as you're a Rampage fan.
That said, save your money. You don't wanna pay 1000 to see your boy get KTFO!

well MT let me tell you. my girl and i talked about going. we live here so the only expense is the fight, and maybe dinner after the fight. we like to get the cheap seats when we go and we decided it's not worth the $250 for the whole night.
so i'm gonna say no, but with the ufc traveling all over the globe you gotta wonder what the next "big" fight will be in vegas.
i think i would wait it out for the next one.

If you are a real big Rampage fan then it might be worth it, but the card overall isn't that deep. I think both 73 and 74 are shaping up to be very good.

i think this fight is gonna be good between Rampage and Chuck, plus Karo is fighting so it might be worth it. The good thing is that if she's happy with the fights then you might get a little extra from her...if you know what i mean, but if the fights were so boring and she was mad she might leave you! JK lol or who knows...

I'm not sure you'll want to see your custom title being ruined live in person, Krav.
But how can I say if it's worth it or not?
I wouldn't spend that much money on it, but that's me.
I'm sure you have more money than me, so if you feel like spending that money on it, so be it.

It'll be well WORTH the $$ to see Chuck shut down Rampage's big mouth.
Chuck will knock the "ram" out of Rampage. When it is over he will simply be known as:
Quintin "page" Jackson. Yeah!

i think chuck fighting would have a pretty sweet buzz there, but in the year of upsets who knows what could happen, the quality of the fights depends on what the fighters do when they get in the ring

Bro, I personally wouldn't spend the cash to go to this one.
The Chuck and Karo fight are the only fights that really interest me on this card. Oh and the Salaverry fight as well.
Besides why would you wanna go and see stuff like this????

If you seriously want to buy 500 dollar tickets to see Chuck knock Rampage out in the first round , thats works out to roughly 100 bucks a minute of main event action. I been to two Live events and don't get me wrong AMAZING time , but dear god I enjoy 40 bucks for a PPV and a 24 of beer and ordering Pizza and wings a hell of alot more. Either way you got a wife that wants to go you should take advantage of that most girls would scream at those prices for fighting LOL . goodluck

Well we did it. The only two tickets left from Ticketmaster were the $500 ones, so we figured what the hell?
We're only staying the night, so it ended up costing about as much as we spent on UFC 66 which wasn't too bad. Plus with better seats.
So it should be a fun Memorial Day weekend for us watching Rampage "Whoop Chuck's Ass!"

I will. Then you guys will have to instruct me how to DL them on here so I can share. I have a digitial camera and I have a port on my hard drive so I can do that, cause I anticipate with my good seats to bump into a fighter/celeb or two even outside the arena.
Should be fun.
I'll also need some of you gambling experts help the night before instruct me how to bet on Rampage in Vegas and if the line is good enough to do so. I wanna win some $$$ potentially.
