You can hate him all you want, but maybe we do not want to hear it, or read it written down in inappropriate words.

Mayweather stated in an interview that if De La Hoya wants a rematch, that he'd give him one if he wins. I dont recall the interviewer or the site I read it at but it wasnt too long ago.

I really enjoyed the fight, It wasn't a classic by any means but it was always enthralling! I was rooting for Oscar and my first thought was that he won, but I've had another look at some of the fight with the sound turned down. And to be fair he did very little clean work up close. Having said that, I would give him points for trying to force the fight. Fight was so close that scoring it would have to come down to what the individual likes to see in a fighter. Floyd's footwork was incredible. Must have been so frustrating for DLH, he could never quite plant himself and unload. Oscars defense was great as well though, and i gotta say as well that he is really a class act. Took the loss so well, he is gonna be a massive loss to the sport when he retires.

no she's not.
she's a stripper that used to work at spearmint rhino, one night PBF was in and she went up to talk to him. she likes fighters and really just wanted to talk.
anyway he said get away from me fat ass, she kicked him in the shin and he pushed her. me and my buddies were about 15 feet away, we all ran up got in his face (and his "friends") the bouncers kicked us out and called the police. my girl got fired and we are no longer allowed in that club.
my girl is not 90lbs like most of the "fake" strippers she is about 110, which i think is perfect for her height.
we almost got arrested and my girl got fired. all because an @hole called her fat.
now the club she works at kicks the guys out if they are disrespectful. not the other way around.
oh and i told her she should have punched him in the face or kicked him in the balls.

It really wasn't that close. I don't see how the judge could have scored it 115-113 DLH. I had it 116-112 Mayweather. DLH couldn't seem to land a punch when MW was on the ropes. MW did his usual one punch at a time and dodge thing that he does. DLH looked good, but speed kills. DLH couldn't didn't seem to find a way to neutralize the speed. I don't believe MW will retire like he says. I think a big fight with Cotto or Mosley may end up happening.

I agree with the decision and the judge who scored in favor of DLH was obviously not watching the same fight. DLH had nothing for Floyd in the later rounds and was pretty much dominated in the technical aspect. DLH was throwing double the punches of Floyd, but connecting with only half the percentage. He tired himself out, lost focus, and lost.
I was entertained.

i love boxing... that fight was HORRIBLE... mayweather ran.. no one got hit at all... i cant believe how bad that way, i am devastated... no one won.. the losers were the fans. then mayweather says he retires!? after THAT fight... please... when is UFC 71..
and yes im the same guy that was talking up boxing 24 hours ago.. theres so few fights i want to see, the judging is COMPLETELY random, and no one wants to battle, they just want to pick up their paychecks...
im glad i wasted my night and 55 bucks on that crap

I agree, I wanted it to be a good fight too, I used to really love boxing but after MMA it just bores me, not a very good fight at all.
And as a side note, those gloves just look stupid to me now that I'm used to the 4 oz gloves in MMA.
UFC 71 will be a great contrast.

I think it was a close fight and I think Mayweather won but it was close, it go have gone any way and if DLH used his jab more in this fight I think he could have won this fight....

Mayweather won, but it was close. I believe if it was in the UK De La Hoya would took it based on aggression.

I am really suprised to see so many say DLH won. He had his moments, especially in the early rounds, but that was an easy decision for Mayweather imo. As for the event itself, majorly disapointed. I watched it at my gf's parents house. Her dad was pissed afterwards, i would be too if i paid 55 bucks for three fights where nothing even close to memorable happened.

It's a national thing. On the german forum Sportforen.de about 90% of the members say Mayweather won the fight by some points.
The Americans love De La Hoya for some reason.
By the way, his wife is hot.

Yea i guess it's no suprise that people have trouble seeing it objectively. Especially sinse there were not many rounds where Mayweather won by a large margin. But he still clearly won.
"By the way, his wife is hot"
Now there is something we can all agree on. I hope.

Not really sure why people think DLH was robbed in this fight. I had it 116-112 and I was trying hard to find round for DLH. Floyd won that fight with good defense, pace and fast hands. Floyd deserved the win and he looked damn good in my eyes.

And as far as the poll goes, I voted yes, but I don't really agree with the decision. Floyd should have won it on all 3 scorecards.

no one cares that mayweather backed up the WHOLE fight... ? if DLH didnt engage him it would have been like the gonzaga\jordan fight.
i dont think either fighter deserved to win, and i will not order another 55$ boxing match for a long long time

That's speculation. You don't know what Mayweather would have done if DLH refused to engage. You don't need to move forward when your opponent is coming to you. When you're the speed puncher fighting the power puncher and he's coming right at you, hell yea you're going to be moving backwards. That's fighting intelligently. You are correct in that this event wasn't worth anywhere near $55.
