I did not get a closely look at all posts to this thread, but one thing that comes to mind right away, that Matt Serra, even though I like him as a fighter, do not like him as a person. The reason being, and probably most people forget, or tend not to recognized, is that, Matt Serra always talks bad about his tough, or "seem to be better" opponents. Think back about when Matt went on TUF, he chewed out Marc Lamont, who I think is an established trainer. Then Matt went to to call names on Matt Hughes, an even more established fighter, who proved to us all over the years that he indeed is a great champion. And now, Matt Serra got the win over GSP, GSP was truthful to himself, admitted to have been beaten by a better fighter that particular night. But we all should realized, when a fighter looses, besides the loss, there are many, many tiny reasons, that add up to the loss, not just that particular moment in the cage, or ring where the actual fight happens. I think that all GSP did, was to go in a bit more detail, to let the fans know what happens in his training, camp, ect.. I don't think GSP said anything in the nature, that Matt Serra beat him only because GSP had a poor training camp or anything close to that. GSP was just giving us the more detail, insight to what was few of the things that contributed to the loss, he didn't take away the rightful win Matt Serra earned.
If you're a fighter like GSP, when you lost, and deep down, you know there were many tiny factors that added up to loosing that particular fight, are you not allowed to tell about it ? while all along you already said good things about the fighter who beat you and got the win ? does that really make you a whiny looser ? I don't think that is fair to jump on GSP to say that he 's making excuses and trying to take away anything from Matt Serra's win.
edit : have you noticed, so far, Matt Serra always said things to make well known, great fighters/trainers to be nothing but bad, and make himself a good guy. Should we all believed everything he says ? and now GSP suddenly is a bad guy, according to Matt Serra ?
