this article. The UFC has gone on record saying that they will not hold a show in a state that does not legally sanction MMA. The article points out that Illinois gives special waivers to some promotions, but sanctioning does not exist, which likely means the IFL was not required to submit medical records and drig testing to have their event there. Not saying the IFL is guilty of anything, its just thats part of the sanctioning process that Illionois currently does not have. Hopefully the new law passes soon.
