Thanks for this. I like Bisping, I just hope he's not the main event. Maybe he'll get a tough opponent this time.
I wonder who else is gonna be added.....

Being in England, it was pretty much a foregone conclusion that Bisping would be fighting. I also hope to see him take on a tougher opponent. He dominated Sinosic, but got overconfident and caught a big knee to the chest that had him in a little trouble and nearly led to him being submitted. I'd like to see him against Forrest or Jardine. I think either would probably hand him his first "L".

Don't be surprised if Mirko CroCop is also on this card. He has stated in an interview that he'll likely be back in action at UFC 74 on the undercard of Couture-Gonzaga in Las Vegas in August or more preferably in London in September. He mentioned something about breaking any English curse.

Jardine I agree with, Forrest I dunno.. Forrest needs to find his old self again.

I'm not sure Forrest has lost anything. He lost a decision to Tito, largely based on the first round. He was dominated by Tito's GnP in the 1st and then did a great job of sprawl and brawl in the 2cd. A late takedown in the 3rd secured the win for Tito.
Then against Jardine, it was a very close fight until Forrest got caught. It happens.
We'll see how he bounces back from it, but the UFC obviously still has high hopes for him, matching him up with Machida. Usually in his situation, he'd get fed a couple of cans.
I think he and Bisping would be a great matchup. Both guys push the fight and they both love to bang. No matter the outcome, I think it'd be an exciting fight.

i am not a big Bisping fan and i have been known to throw him under the bus but i think in a fight between him and forrest i'd take Bisping. i think Forrest is a gutsy guy and i love him but i dont see him being able to do much to Bisping. however i think Bonnar would beat Bisping based on there skill sets. kind of odd i know and i dont feel like arguing how Forrest beat blah blah blah. styles make matchups and i think thats how that triangle would play out. now i really hope they put someone good infront of Bisping because i want to see him get handled. i hope he gets Lyoto. that would be awesome.

he's yet to prove he's bad or anything, he got caught, it's not like he's timid or something now.

I'd put the odds around 70/30 that Forrest would take Bisping.

Report: Mirko “Cro Cop” Filipovic to Fight at UFC 75
Posted by UFC Junkie on May 23, 2007 at 11:08 am ET
Mirko Famed UFC heavyweight Mirko “Cro Cop” Filipovic (22-5-2 MMA, 1-1 UFC), who suffered a devastating KO loss to Gabriel Gonzaga last month at UFC 70, will make his return to the Octagon at the recently announced UFC 75 event in London, England, on Sept. 8.
That’s the word from the site DNEVNIK.hr and a translation provided by UFCjunkie.com (UFC blog for UFC news, MMA news, UFC rumors, UFC gossip, fighter interviews and event previews and recaps - UFCjunkie.com) reader “Marcio.“
The heavyweight’s opponent is not yet known.
Filipovic, a former PRIDE Fighting Championships fighter and champion, was acquired by the UFC earlier this year and posted a successful TKO victory over Eddie Sanchez in his debut at UFC 67 in February. He entered UFC 70, which took place at Manchester, England, as a large favorite over Gonzaga but lasted less than one round with the Brazilian Jiu Jitsu black belt fighter.
After suffering nearly three minutes of ground and pound, and absorbing a major cut along his hairline, Filipovic was tagged with a sickening high leg kick in the round’s final seconds. The blow instantly knocked Filipovic unconscious.
In interviews after the UFC 70 fight, Filipovic admitted that he didn’t prepare properly for the fight and never bothered to train in an Octagon (his PRIDE fights took place in a standard ring). In this latest report, though, Filipovic said he will work extensively in an Octagon in preparation for the September fight.
According to the story, Filipovic was given the option of fighting at UFC 74 on Aug. 25 but opted to instead fight two weeks later at UFC 75. The event is also expected to feature the U.K.‘s Michael Bisping and France’s Jess Liaudin.
UFC 75 could take place at The O2 (formerly known as The Millennium Dome).

The only thing interesting was Michael Bisping? You mean at 70 or at 75?

Thats what made the comment even more odd because I know he's made comments on how much he likes Cro Cop and I doubt he would say that 75 was only interesting because of Bisping and not because of Cro Cop. It could easily have gone either way like, the only interesting part about UFC 70 was Bisping, I wonder who he is fighting now? or The only interesting part about UFC 75 is Bisping, I wonder who he is fighting?
See what I mean?
