With the way things are going lately, it seems the favorite winning is the 'upset'

1) i put rampage liddell at 50-50 or 51-49, this fight, i dunno...

2) i really hope that pulver wins. i am not a huge fan of penn. i have also come to really appreciate jens personality and his ability as a coach, so i really dont know.

i would suspect that jens dislike for penn would motivate him to have a good showing, and penn has a tendancy to gas. but, penn is also on a losing streak, so he may be hungry, but rumours suggest that he doesnt like to train, so i really dont know.

either way, i hope its a good fight.

I love Jens, and I wouldnt call it an upset at all if he won. He won the first fight, so he's the underdog because he lost his last fight? BJ lost his last two fights ( I Know they were to the last two champions & him gsp was close). Jens has been in the "underdog" spot before and seems to thrive. I think he's a great guy and deserves this win.

Losing to Lauzon is part of it. But BJ would have been the favorite even without that loss.

BJ going through two guys who KO'd Pulver (Gomi & Ludwig) is another part.
BJ giving GSP a close fight and being 1-1 with Matt Hughes is yet another part.

Can you imagine Pulver giving Hughes ANY problems, seriously?

I have a feeling Penn is going to take this one. But I do agree, it would be quite an upset if Pulver did win. We'll just have to wait and see.

i thought about that, actually. i dont know. hughes just beat bj, and penn lost to pulver, so i dont know. i really cant see pulver giving hughes too many problems, but crocop, jardine and serra kinda ruin the intuitive part of the fight game lol.

BJ is going to come out swinging and get caught. Pulver will look for a counter and more than likely find one. Should be a good fight either way.

I really hope Penn wins, but I am worried about Pulver maybe catching Penn and getting a TKO or something.

Ya it could happen, espically if jens comes in with really good cardio, and can push as very fast pace all first round, i think he could tire penn out by the second and dominate the rest of the fight.

For being such a....."Prodigy" he sure does get worn out very fast.

Has that always been a trait of his?

I have not seen many of his earlier fights.

penn is hit or miss in his fights as far as cardio goes. He is beyond talented but i find it upsetting and personaly dislike him for his inability to last in a lot of his fights. If Jens can keep a fast pace i think he can steel rounds two and three but also has a good chance of making a mistake in round one wit a fresh bj penn wich will end the fight real fast. If jens picks i up in round two and three it will be better for him. I like what someone said about jens looking for counter punches to lead to a tko. That is his style as of late with good strikers. Sometimes it works for him... sometimes it doesnt. I am so excited for this fight sometimes... others times i am just like... glad its free... its weird!

This fight is a UFC marketing dream as it is the last opportunity to pair two guys who are past their prime, making money in the process. This is no real deal. This is no Liddell-Jackson or Silva-Franklin. The two looked washed up, fat and out of shape during TUF season.

Unless Penn destroys Pulver early, this will drag for three rounds of gassed out fighting, which Penn will win by decision, as he will be able to take Pulver to the ground.

I am really not excited about this. This is just show time, not sport. And I prefer the latter. That evening, I only look forward to watching Lauzon fight and seeing who the heck Garcia is going to destroy.

I like Jens but lets be real about this. BJ has fought from LW to HW and the only person to finish him was Hughes and he claims he broke his ribs in that fight. The only way Jens wins is by pushing the pace and getting a dec IMO and I just dont think he is gonna win that 1st rd wich is gonna makeit tough on him. I say BJ by sub in the 2nd.
