Yep, this and the show pretty much confirmed for me that Karo Parisyan is a douchebag. I had my suspicions before from previous interviews, but overlooked them due to Karo being an exciting fighter to watch. However, this seals the deal. Karo is a douche.

I heard that interview yesterday on Sherdog's Beatdown Radio.


-Funnily enough he said he hadn't seen it, but that he'd heard they made him look like an idiot.
-He said he knew right after it happened that they would make either him or Nate look bad.
-"There was so much more to the story than what they showed"...
Then he basically just told what they showed on TV. Like "I went back all calm and wanted to talk and he's like 'nah, it's cool' ".
-He said Armenians are hotblooded people and blamed some of it on that, but he is not a bully or a douche, bro.


I think that's how it went. He did apologize too, but he didn't regret it or something...

Thanks for the synopsis. I've only sat thru the blather on that radio show once, and I don't intend to do it again unless it's a must-see guest.

They did show Karo go back all calm on TUF. He was calm for a few seconds anyway, until Nate refused to go talk to him and then he exploded again. I didn't blame Nate for not going with him to talk it over. Karo would have been trying to hug him and be all phony-nice. Nate was saying, "Nah, it's cool", but Karo wanted to be the alpha dog and settle it his way. The only Armenian I know other than the cousins is movie director Atom Egoyan, and he seems like a calm and thoughtful person. Karo just has too much testoterone.

I still look forward to seeing him fight, and I'd still cheer for him vs Diego or Hughes, but I'll definitely be rooting for Fitch (rumoured to be Karo's next bout).

Yeah, he went there and said he wanted to talk.
Nate says "nah", and Karo goes back to being the condescending dad figure...
"you wanna talk to me, trust me".

Of course Nate could have kept it a bit cooler himself, but I couldn't help but laugh when they were "escorting" Karo out and Nate says "pfft get the **** outta here, man".

LOL.

And they didn't even show him bringing up his fight with Nick or his comment at Lauzon.
I think they could have made him look a lot worse if that's what they wanted.

I feel the same way about rooting for/against him.
I mean, this one incident with Nate wouldn't have really been THAT bad, but hearing him be the same arrogant cock to Lauzon got to me.
