Couture's influence was very apparent in Forrest's style today. He fought a really smart, controlled fight and stuck to his game plan beautifully. But unlike Tim Sylvia's version of sticking to your game plan, it still involved constantly engaging his opponent. Forrest punched and kicked Sickdog constantly, but he wasn't overcommitting or staying in and throwing wild bombs. He was really tough to hit and frustrated his man through the whole fight, much like Couture did against Sylvia. It was a beautiful thing to watch and really showed that Forrest is learning and improving.
As for Guida-Griffin, I believe wholeheartedly that the Irish judges robbed Guida of a win that he deserved 100%.
