Faber at UFC 73

am i the only one who got the feeling that a 145lb weight will be added to the UFC soon, the LW divison is the most exciting in the UFC right now. imagine if the top 145lbers were in the UFC to.

Naaa they won't add that for a while still.......The WEC has way to nice a setup for the FWs and that is what they try to focus on I recall Rogan saying that they were going to use the WEC as a LW feeder org so I doubt they will put a FW class into the UFC they will just bring a few guys up here and there if they are big enough to be LWs.

Some of them dudes are really small though.

I agree. The WEC has one thing the UFC does not have, and that makes it a promotion worth watching. Remember that the UFC owns the WEC. So, they want it to have some things that the UFC does not have. That thing is the 145 pound weight class world title held by the best 145 fighter in the world, Uriah Faber. It's a huge selling point.

Krav - I've heard you say this before and don't quite understand. They are in different weight classes and fight for the same organization. How can they be compared if they are both signed to the WEC? Its not like Faber is signed to the UFC or something.

Part of the reason why Faber is marketed more by the WEC is his fight frequency. He's fought 3x for the WEC this year as opposed to Razor's once. A knee injury prevented Razor from fighting in May, but Faber had already fought twice and was scheduled for his 3rd fight three weeks later. Since entering MMA in November of 2003, Faber has 20 fights, as opposed to Razor's 17 since Oct 2001. 3 more fights in 2 years less.

Don't get me wrong, Razor is a great talent. Both are exciting as hell. But since they are both signed to the WEC, how would McCullough be a better signing???
