Default Meals

I'm not really all that great at creating meals. A lot of the time I can barely get breakfast before school. I wanted to know what a good meal would be for each time of the day to keep me healthy. My parents are divorced and my dad sucks at shopping so what he buys is normally what he likes to eat. All of that stuff is things such as Chips, candy, and the rest of the junk food. Recently I've been telling him to stop buying this junk but when I tell him to buy something I like he litterly buys 10x the amount. I said I liked pineapple and he got 10 cans of sliced pineapple and nothing else lol... It tends to get very annoying.

1. What food will I never get bored of
2. What is a good meal for breakfast, lunch, dinner.
3. Would like to know a good meal for each thing like gaining weight, losing weight, gaining muscle, and just a good meal for anything.

Thanks.

Well, what you eat to gain weight and lose weight are pretty different.

Breakfast i always go for oatmeal, actual oats not the other sugary ****, with some honey, and dry wheat toast.

Chicken and lots of it, green veggies(eovv is good with these to get your fats), tuna , fish, brown or wild rice, eggs are good.

If your trying to lose weight, you should be aiming for 5-6 meals a day, not just three.

Eating like hell at breakfast is very essential

As far as foods you wont get bored of...lol..if you find some let me know

Your question of what you should eat depends on what your trying to do, the foods i listed before are good for losing weight, but its more involved then what you eat, when you eat is important and calorie intake as well.

Eating to gain weight/muscle is pretty different then what i outlined before and you eat a LOT, if you cant eat, forget about trying to get big.

Age plays a big factor too, so your age would be good to know as well as your exercise regimine.

So list your age, weight, height, BF(if you know it), exercising regimine, and ill try to help ya a bit more

Your other questions are being handled, but I just wanted to say that this first one is kind of ridiculous. That's like me asking, "Recommend a movie that I'll be able to watch every day and never get bored of."

Variety, man. Variety.

Haha sorry if its stupid, but I had read somewhere that someone eats a meal and they never get bored of it. I forget his name and I was hoping he would post his meal again :P. Anway all my info:

Age: 16
Weight: Around 150, got no scale :/
Height: 5'7 or 5'8
BF: 13%-16%

My training is pretty much pushups, pull ups, and stair running. (Will be jogging soon) I pretty much do each of these more than once, and its till I can't do any more, never really counted. Rest for 1-2 mins and them again.

If you could reccomend something better that would be cool too, even though its off topic. Also I could use some help knowing when to increase the amount of reps/sets, and how much to increase them by.

I don't think I need to gain or lose weight but if I have to do one of those tell me. I just want to be in and stay in shape so I can get a MMA career.

My advice, then, would be to sign up at an MMA gym and take either muay thai or BJJ (or both) regularly. Both are a great workout so you'll get in shape fast, and you'll also actually be learning how to fight -- something fairly important if you hope to have an MMA career.

Sorry it took so long.

Well at your age, a big thing to stress is your still young, and your growth plates have not even finished growing.

I don't think gaining or losing weight should be a big focus for you yet at your age, in 4 years you may be totally different then what you are now, and i think its best to let your body evolve before trying to alter it.

Joining a MMA gym is great advice and at this point i think your best bet.

I don't really like you recommend lifting plans for people under 20 as your body is still changing and heavy lifting can effect your growth in negative ways, so general lifting is great for ya right now.

As far as when to increase weight/reps.

Basically what i do is, ill increase to a weight we'll go with bench for a example.

I'll go to something to where i can only get 4 reps in this case 240, 4 reps is my max, the next time ill do five, the next time 6, then 7 and finally 8.

Once i hit 8 reps i increase the weight, and this does not have to be major, till i can only do 4 reps again and i repeat.

Like i said at your age, general lifting is best, and if your interested in a MMA career, you dont need to be doing balls to the wall lifting, endurance, tendon strength are imporant in a MMA aspect.

Simply if you feel a weight is to easy for you, bench for example if you can do 150 15 times, then i would say its time to step the weight up to where its hard to even get 5, and build off that.

Your muscles adapt very quickly and if you dont challenge and push them, they wont grow.

I'll say it one last time, stick to general lifting at your age, your MMA trainer i guarentee can outline something great for your body structure and your age.

I'm gonna challenge you on that one. Are you buying any food at all? Because I bet whatever you're spending now, you could buy less processed stuff and more basic foods and produce that'd be better for you.
