Default Sports Illustrated UFC article by a female swimmer.

Amanda Beard to be precise.
I guess she's an "utlimate fan".

SI.com - Writers - Arash Markazi: Amanda Beard describes her love for UFC - Wednesday June 13, 2007 5:38PM

Kinda meh article imo. She's incorrect at times, but hey, she's very excited and that's all that matters. Some tidbits:

Quote:
I do like the fact that Pride penalizes fighters for not being active because otherwise you get a fight with a guy who just dances around for 25 minutes -- a tactic used by Tim Sylvia when he was the heavyweight champion.

I was really excited when Randy Couture came back out of retirement and beat Sylvia to win the championship. It was one of the best fights I've ever watched. Couture had this frustrated look on his face and I'm sure he was just like all of us, watching Sylvia's fights and thinking, "What are you doing? Trying to hold onto your title? You're not giving a show. Why are you doing this?"
LOL.

Quote:
My favorite fighter, though, is Tito Ortiz. I wear his jersey for all the fights -- not just when he's fighting, but when anybody's fighting. I love his attitude.
Boo!

Quote:
I also love watching the light heavyweights, such as Ortiz and Chuck Liddell, fight. They're just so active. If you watch lightweights and then watch heavyweights, it's like, "Whoa, slow mo!"

Her top 5 fights were funny as well.

1. The Tito-Ken trilogy:
Quote:
All three rights were brutal because these guys hate each other. Anytime you know that the fighters genuinely hate each other, it adds something extra to the fights. I just wish one of them would have ended in a knockout.
Dear God.

2. Hughes-GSP II
Quote:
This was a great fight except Hughes kept getting hit in that, um area down there. I really want to see a rematch.
Puh lease!

3. Sylvia-Couture
Quote:
A great fight that meant more because of the way Sylvia had won his last fight. Sylvia fought Tim Monson at UFC 65 danced around for 25 minutes just trying to protect his title. I really think Couture knew what he had to do. Seeing him come out of retirement to demolish him was amazing.
Poor Timmy, leave him alone already.

-------------------------------------

More importantly, this is what she looks like.
And she's about to/has already appeared in Playboy.

Thumbnails.

LOL @ Tim Monson.

Good for her. We need more hot chicks watching MMA.

Amanda Beard? I have heard that name somewhere before.

Distorted views of UFC, including quite obviously hating Tim Sylvia with a passion. I think she has a liking for Couture.

I can see why she likes Tito in all fairness, bad mouthing and then sometimes following it up with good fighting.

My favourite part was when she asks why fighters are trying to hold onto their titles more than putting on a good show (she is forgetting all the fame and money that comes with the title)

BUT she is extremely hot, so all her past sins are forgiven

She was also on Mike and Mike on ESPN Radio and mentioned the UFC as well.

I just want to see her naked.

Sounds like some sort of publicity stunt. So, she was sitting at home and decided to order an mma PPV? Am I the only one who thinks that is fishy?
