i don't believe running is an anerobic activity. during a run your body is in an aerobic state. sprinting on the other hand would fall into the anerobic realm as would pushing a truck. running at a not so hard pace would be good on the days you don't push the truck, sort of an active recovery. you'll be working your lungs but not subjecting your muscles to resistance, at least not at the level of pushing your Explorer. i would say that pushing the truck is better for most sports unless you're a runner.
