Frank Mir vs Antoni Hardonk @ UFC 74
The UFC is giving Frank another chance to get back to his winning ways pre-bike accident. Hope he gets back on his horse but with the talent coming in the Heavy weight division, it's gonna be a hard road back to the top.

These are two talented fighters with huge voids in their games. Mir, great skills in the ground and decent stand up, but physically blown up. Hardonk, fantastic stand up and kindergarten-level ground game.
If the fight goes to the ground, Mir will finish it. Otherwise, he gets KTFO.

Mir use to be bad as hell but ever since his accident hes never been the same.At least they didn't match him up with some big time fighter this time.If he takes it to the ground he can get it.If he stands he'll get hurt.

This makes 74 even better IMO.

I thought Mir was going to be relegated to being a WEC announcer from here on out... Glad to see he's getting another chance. I'd like to see him in shape and ready to kick some arse. Go Mir!

I wonder what Frank has been doing, hopefully training and not sitting around eating Taco Bell.

This isnt a great match up for Mir. Hardonk has some awesome leg kicks and that is the exact area that Mir doesnt need to take shots, his hurt leg. Mir will have to get this to the ground fast or it might end much like the Vera fight Im afraid.

Hardonk could be the best HW out there if he put together an efficient ground game. The guy's stand up is top quality, with devastating kicks, and has enormous strength. Mir needs to know that he has to take this to the ground ASAP, and run on his feet until the take down. But if Hardonk has put together any sort of take down defense, Mir is getting KTFO in the first round.

If Mir looks like he did his last couple of fights I don't see him winning this. Hopefully he will be in shape this time and will win. It would be nice to see the old Mir back.

You pretty much summed it up right there. I just hope Mir is smart enough to take it to the ground where Hardonk can't touch him.

Mir looked in good shape in his last fight against Vera, I just think he got caught with a shot...something that happens to everyone. If he comes back in as good or better shape than he did last time I think he will sub Hardonk without much trouble.

I had high hopes for Hardonk, but after his last fight ( what was that guys name, Ortiz old training partner ? ) I am not so sure. His take down defence was so bad in that fight and he could not/would not let his strikes go at all. Unless he learns some D or some sub skills, I say he loses, even with Hoost in his corner

With that injured leg of Mir's I don't think the old Mir will ever return. I don't see him winning this match at all.

I would like to see Hardonk lose and face Kongo if he loses against Cro Cop. Now that would be a great fight which fans would love to see.
