Din Thomas vs. Spencer Fisher at UFN on September 20th???
Quote:
By Loretta Hunt (loretta@thefightnetwork.com)
THOMAS-FISHER TO LEAD SEPT. 20 UFC FIGHT NIGHT
According to an American Top Team rep, lightweight Din Thomas (23-6) has verbally agreed to face Miletich Elite counterpart Spencer Fisher at the next UFC Fight Night on Sept. 20 at the Palms Hotel & Casino in Las Vegas, Nevada. Fisher (20-3) waged a victorious knockdown, dragged-out war with Canadian Sam Stout at June 12’s UFC Fight Night main event in Florida. Since starring on “The Ultimate Fighter 4 – The Comeback” on Spike TV, the submissions savvy Thomas is three-for-three in Octagon play, taking out Rich Clementi, Clay Guida, and Jeremy Stephens.
The Thursday night offering will serve as a lead-in for the debut of “The Ultimate Fighter 6” reality TV series.

The Fight Network :: ALL FIGHTS ALL THE TIME :: Get it on!
That's usually a credible source.
That would be a good fight. It's the same event where they are rumoring the Leben-Swick fight. Sounds good so far.
I would really want Din to win this one, I like the guy. And Fisher not so much.
I think Din will take it too. He's more well-rounded than Fisher. He should do OK standing and on the ground Fisher should be in trouble.
Who you got?

I pick Din to win via sub, although i won't be suprised if it goes to a decision. As Gooner said, he is too well-rounded for Fisher. Fisher needs to land some bombs, which he will obviously be tying to do. Din's chin isn't iron, and Fisher has hard punches. This is a great fight, could go either way. I will be pulling for Din because i think Spencer would get dominated by Sherk. Din has a better chance, although i doubt he'd win either.
I feel like a lot of people dislike Spencer because he's from MFS Elite, and a pretty much all of them are arrogant. But i've always found Spencer to be humble and funny, win or lose. I have a lot of respect for him and think he gets the **** end of the stick just because of who his training partners are. I have yet to see him do anything that would make people want to dislike him.

I really dont have a preference for this fight as long as it is an exciting fight which I think it has the potential to be. If I had to pick though I would say Din in a close decision.

I see Din winning via sub. But possibly a decision too. I think that din's the better fighter all-around.

I want Din Thomas to win this fight and I really think he will. Fisher is a good LW fighter, but I think Din is just a little bit better.

This should be an exciting fight. I predict Fisher to win by TKO in the 3rd round, should be a close fight though.

Fisher gonna knock Thomas out. Not sure which round. I can't understand someone disliking Fisher. He has shown humility in his wins and his losses. He's a small town boy who hasn't forgotten his roots. His recent fight against Sam Stout was a classic! Great fight! He gave Stout (deservedly) tons of credit in that fight. He seems like a good dude to me.

Fisher is always on UFN's. I got him by KO because he really showed his striking skills against Stout. Eventually Fisher will wear him down and knock him out.

Fisher is an entertaining striker and usually a lot of fun to watch, but I've always been unimpressed by his take-down defense. Although he's one of the best strikers at LW, he can often get taken down and controls by fighters with better ground skills.
My heart says 'Fisher', my mind says 'Thomas', but I'm going to make the smart decision and not vote in this poll until after the fight.

I was gonna ask you if you were from the Linville in N.C. Now I don't have to. I'm from the Piedmont area of N.C. myself. Linville area is very beautiful.
It hurt me when Franca knocked Fisher out. I hate guys like him that throw absolutely crazy no look punches that hit like a bag of hammers if they luck into your face!:sport-smi
Heatwaves, no offense but your Sig. Picture of Tan makes me queasy.
