Not really a black eye on the sport......Seeing how MMA is primarily skill based you still have to be able to do things in their but it is a very big black eye for Sherk I liked him but for a guy who's entire career is pretty much founded on him being in such good shape this will make everyone from here on out that knows about this not look at him like a great athlete and disrespect him.
But this isn’t necessarily a bad thing for the sport in general.....Seeing how there is doping going on in everything from the Tour De France to the Olympics to the Major sports leagues and Collage and High School you name it their are people doping in it at every level.
It only goes to show a pure lack of honor among the so called athletes and the level of greed that people have that they are willing to cheat and often times “not this one” they are going up against someone who is playing by the rules and they are still willing to cheat that person out of what they have rightfully earned....That's low, That's very low.
Its really the same as stealing or rape when you think about it, Don’t soften what they have done just because its a sport so you fine them a little and put um on probation....This is really something that when it comes up in a competition environment it should be treated as if you stole from the person(s) you are competing against and you should really get jail time.
Its one thing to use this stuff on your own when it is not affecting anyone or anything but you, But when it is done in sports or anything like that it should be a crime and punished.
