Did we miss a buy 1-get 1-free steroids promotion? coz for both to test positive is MADNESS. Hey, finally sumthing exciting happen between these 2..since their fight

This is definitely a step back for the sport to claim legitimacy after all the good work so far..

i think BJs plan for dominence is on. he will fight for the LW title, capture it then move up to WW to fight hughes in hughes vs penn 3. BJ Penn both LW and WW champion of the world

Their is not going to be a terny so shut up about it.

The Commissions are the ones that keep that style of fighting from happening here in the US and they may have a big problem with the UFC if they tried to go outside of the US just to get around the US commissions to have a terny style event......Unless the NSAC oks it, It is not going to happen -The End

It will be a top ranked LW fighter vs a top ranked LW fighter for a vacant title just like the UFC has done before so.

Not a "guy fights 3 times in a night tourney" spread it out over 6 - 9 months. Get off your highhorse and stop telling people to stfu about it.

I agree with all that. Plus Dana said he'll never do another tournament because he got burned when he tried to do it once before in LW and ended up with a draw and no belt holder.

If #1 is gone that is exactly the same as having #2 fight #3 for the title......You don't need a terny like that, That's pretty much how it already works now, That way would just take way longer to crown a champ rather then just have the next two top LW fight for the title, It really makes no sense.

#2 and #3 would be getting screwed over in something like that, They didn't do anything wrong yet now they have to go through a bunch of others to get a title shot when they are already next in line.

The thing with Sherk is that he is suppose to be naturally a bigger guy then he fights at.......So if you are naturally bigger then cut down you will look like a freaking human muscle so it wasn't really anything crazy that he looked so good as everyone already knew he was around 170+ and cutting down to 155 so you would expect him to look very cut.

So honestly I didn’t think he was a user he always seemed like a smart guy that really knew himself and his nutrition very well much like Randy who also seems to know his body very well so I’m pretty surprised to find out he used you wouldn‘t think the guy would want to get any more muscle since he is already bigger then his fighting weight it would only make his cuts harder.

I knew Sherk was juicing but didn't post it because some people will always give you crap about saying that - until the dood blows a screen that is. There are a lot of other MMA guys 'roided up too. Past and present. Some of them very big names, but those same people would jump me if I named names. I have been a weightlifter/gym rat for over 15 years, and I know what is and isn't possible without 'roids. Every single person at the gyms I have frequented (including some chicks) who I felt were definitely on it later admitted it or were busted for it.

There are plenty more who are on it who are not obvious and are hard to tell, but It just ain't that hard to tell in a case like Sherks. I have been expecting this outcome for a while. Franca is one of those guys who is less obvious because he doesn't lean out to the max like Sherk.

I knew BALCO was a load of crap and dealing steroids loooong before the Feds got onto it. Gunter Schlierkamp and those other BodyBuilders were claiming BALCO evaluated their blood samples and made specific recommendations for adjusting mineral levels. MINERAL LEVELS for Gosh Sake!! And suddenly Gunter becomes a contender for Mr. Olympia! LMFAO, only the utterly naive would ever have believed that adjusting someones copper or zinc levels could have any kind of serious impact on lean body mass and muscle gain. I laughed my ASS off when that scandal broke wide open.

One guy I KNOW ain't on the juice is Nate Diaz. That guy is au natural to the max. Littler pipe cleaner arms,but the dood is tough as nails and uses ju jitsu and wins. Much respect Nate. Now don't you go and blow a Pot screen and embarrass me.

Steroids are good for a lot more than just getting more muscle.
Even cyclists and long distance runners use steroids.

I bet EVERY guy that's in the 100 m final in the Olympics has juiced to get there. And I'm not the only one thinking that.
And they don't do it to get muscle either.
