Fedor vs Couture
This is a match a really hope we'll see, it would be great if it were for UFC Heavyweight Belt too.
So who would take it Couture or Fedor?
I think Randy would come in with a perfect gameplan, probably involving elbows to the forehead to try and cut him up. If he makes a mistake Fedor would have him, but I'm of the opinion Randy could just take this one!

Somehow i think Randy would find a way to do it. If he used his wrestling to keep it standing, stayed in the clinch, and just used dirty boxing, he could win. Somehow Randy has the ablity to beat unbeatable opponents. Ya can't tell me that Vitor was anymore of an unbeatable opponent than Fedor is today. And it was the 'old Vitor' in that fight, Randy just beat him.
I for one cant bet against Couture for any reason.

Fedor knows how to wrestle for 1, and unlike Vitor he can use his great submission background in MMA

Yeah but i think randy is a better in the clinch. And for randy to win he would have to make it so the 'great submission background' didnt come into play. Two many people think that there are only 2 stages of MMA, Standing and on the ground. In reality the standing grapple or clinch is where a good chunk of MMA fighting takes place. Most fighters only train in it as a transition between standing and ground, but a few try to be offensive in the clinch while maintaining it there, mostly those with muay thai backgrounds. And when they go for the clinch and keep it they can dominate other fighters. If the fight did go to the clinch (and i have no reason to believe that it would not) Randy could be offensive the entire time and 'suck the life' out of fedor. I think he would win by decision based on that. I really dont see fedor throwing a knee in the clinch (or an effective one), he would mostly be just trying to take randy down.

I could see this one going to the score cards. I went with Fedor by decision but would be pulling for Randy.

Randy is seriously way to popular around here I think, people are being kinda biased, just my opinion. I see Fedor taking this easily, Fedor is the best fighter ever. Randy has never done that great defending belts in the past either. People always say how Randy has such great gameplans but to tell you the truth that is not always the case. Fedor I believe by far has the best mental game going, he is able to beat every fighter at their own game even if it comes to that. Randy would only win by a cut I believe. Fedor would try to keep it standing and I would believe he would catch Randy, do a little GnP, then take a submission personally. Fedor is the best ever, can't really bet against him.

People are getting kinda ridiculous about Randy around here. He got KO'd by Liddell twice and came back to beat Tim Sylvia. He's what 43 years old and has one win in his last three fights. I still think he's a top 5 heavyweight and if he beats GG than I'll really give him another look. But still, beat Fedor?

Fedor is great, possible the greatest of all time. BUT!!!!!! Anyone can be beaten. Nobody is unbeatable. Everyone thought that Cro Cop (who made it close with Fedor) was going to waltz his butt to a title and win the whole thing. Then Gonzaga knocked him out. Fedor has been known to get cut. A left hook from The Law split Fedor open pretty good. Randy wrestling is better than Fedor's, yes I said it, better. He will take Fedor down and maul him against the cage. NO SUB by FEDOR. just my opinion.

The way i see it Fedor is way to explosive to keep in a clinch.
He would power him self out soon. I belive he would be able to get Randy on his back and that would be trubble for Randy.
Fedor would win this unless Randy gets a lucky punch the way I see it and even if Randy got a lucky punch im not sure that would be enough.
Seen Fedor in bad spots so many time. He allways comes back and win by power/balance/push himself out of the sitiuation and turn it to hes favor.
Fedor would win, thats just the way it is

Not sure how I voted way back when, but I would now say Randy by decision. He always comes in with an amazing gameplan, and no one can really train how to fight him because every person he fights he fights differently. Also now that Randy has proven me wrong on numerous occasions I just can't go against him. Don't get me wrong, this fight could go either way but I just see Randy coming out on top.

The problem is:
Can u tell me the hole in Fedor`S game?
Im not really sure there are any.
He is the closest to perfect I have ever seen in all my life and hes pace is incredible high.
Whoever he meets he seems to meet on theire terms to test hiimself.
Crocop he was striking with, Coleman he wrestle with, same with randleman, he was not affraid to be in Big Nogs guard at all etc.
Im not sure he would be scared to go in clinch with Randy either, just to prove he can do this 2
The guy who never loose will never loose to Randy, im sorry folks

if randy fought like he just did he can beat anyone.... when he puts THAT much pressure on fedor, there isnt much anyone can do.... he picked up and planted a much bigger GG... its definently a fight worth seeing.... those who say fedor would win in 20 seconds are simply discrediting their opinions... fedor went to the cards with many opponents...
id pick randy in a decision but i could see fedor winning as well...
why doesnt he come to the UFC so we can find out

No way would Randy win. Would he put up a decent fight? Yes. Would he win? No.
Fedor is, in my opinion, the best fighter in history. I truly believe that no-one currently fighting can beat him. He has come up against such a mixed array of opponents and completely obliterated them all.
I dont think Randy would be able to keep him in a clinch for too long before Fedor blasts out and starts laying damage on Captain America.
If it went to the ground, Fedor for definite. If they stayed standing, Fedor would still win.
