I was just wondering who has the best survival mode. For those who don't know what survival mode is, it's when a person gets rocked and just does everything not to get knocked out.

The people I think are the best at this are,

Tim Sylvia- He got rocked by Andrei really hard, but he used his long legs to keep Arlovski away then got back up and KOed him hardcore.
Also Couture rocked him pretty hard and couldn't finish him.


Big Nog- I guess you can say he is really good although Herring should have finished that fight, but also when Fedor was GnPing him he just wouldn't get finished, but that is mostly his iron jaw.

I had both of those guys in mind before coming into this thread as well. I'd also say Jeremy Horn does a pretty good job of staying awake as well.

I don't know. He has a good chin, but when he does get rocked he gets finished. Well atleast with Arlovksi.

Yeah thats if he gets rocked. One of the few fights tim tried to finish a fighter and he just couldn't do it.

Id say you would have to throw Fedor in that mix aswell. He got rocked hard by Fujita and came back to pull out the win. Not to mention when he got dropped on his head by Randelmen , turned him over and kimuraed his ass.

wanderlei although the last two fights he has just ate it and went to sleep but his recovery time and ability is impressive and he is my favorite.

i agree with all teh above, but o would add royce gracie in teh matt hughes fight.sure he lost, but matt had that americana or kimura (i forget) in pretty deep.
