I would have thought the reason the have 'themes' or weight classes is so they can actually fight each other on the show. If they had a large mix of weight classes it wouldn't be fun.

EXECELLENT POINT. I THINK HIS WIT AND MOUTH MAKE FOR A GOOD ENTERTAINING FIGHT AS WELL. I WONDER IF HE WILL RUN TO THE OCTAGON AGAIN?

I don't think that he is overrated. It's true that he has faced mainly easy competition, but none of them have defeated him yet, so until that happens or he gets demolished by tough competition I don't think he is overrated.

I think Bisping is a little puffed up but definately a solid fighter, he has solid striking but his ground game leaves a little to be desired.
give him some time (and tougher oppenents) and he can definately become to top level fighter. If he will ever be a champion caliber fighter i don't think so.

How the F*** can someone be Overrated when all he has done Is fought the people the UFC has told him to fight ? I don't think anyone with common sense thinks he has the most Impressive track list of fighters he has faced but again he has faced everyone they have thrown at him . Call him overrated If he fights Chuck Liddell and beats Liddell with a Illigal blow to the back of the head that the referee didn't see and then everyone talks about how he Is the next big thing. That is when someone can be overrated the guy has done nothing to deserve being labelled overrated . If the UFC hand him easy fights or make sure he wins for his UK fans blame Dana white or joe for picking the matches . The media overrates someone so don't listen to the media watch the fights lol

Bisping is over rated. He's not a bad fighter, but anyone with solid skills and a good gameplan could beat him.

Bisping has beaton a few fighters but I believe the UFC feeds him opponents he can beat (usually) to keep him hyped up to appeal to the UK crowd.

No offence mate but you need to do a little research on Michael Bispings history, as im from the uk ive watched Bisping fight many a time before the ufc even got near him and even though he needs to brush up on his defence a bit [always been his downfall] he really is an exellent fighter, i agree that hes been given nothing but easy fights since joining the ufc but in fairness that isnt his fault, knowing the sort of person Michael is he would rather be in with the likes of Chuck or Tito or even Forrest or keith Jardine than the opponents that hes been put with . What pisses me off more than anything is the ufc are using him for promotional purposes by putting him on every uk fight card there is [ exept ufc72] which means he rarely gets to show what he can do in front of an American audience, aswell as much as i like jardine i dont understand that his reward for getting ko'd in the first round against a virtual unknown is a fight against chuck liddell which will more than likely be for the number 1 contendership ? Michael Bisping in my eyes should now be fighting the likes of jardine and forrest as that is a natural progress.
Hamill hasn't got a chance mate, hes a fantastic wrestler but his mma is less than average. once Bisping knocks this kid out you should hold your hands up and give the guy a bit more respect. Expect big things, you have been told.

I dont think Bisping is over rated. He is still learning and working his way up. I havent heard anyone saying he deserves a title shot or anything. I think Bisping is farther along than Hammil, so I see a second round TKO.

My post actually stated that I didnt know for sure if I think he is over-rated or not. I do believe Bisping is a very exciting fighter and one of my favorites to watch. I just feel that there are certain fighters that will give him match-up problems. The majority of people who pick Bisping to win over Hamil say Bisping will KO him; if he is able to pull it off it will be a very tough fight. I personally dont feel that Hamil will be as easy to KO as other people may believe. I still say Hamil will take Bisping down and gnp or lnp(hopefully not) and will atleats win in decision.

I think bisping is a little underrated, most people just think of him as a mid or undercard star. But i think we will see him in a title fight or 2 eventually. But i dont see him as a champ for more than a fight or 2 if that.

yeah i never thought of it before, because bisping was on TUF we automatically discredit him, if he wasnt on the show the UFC would likly have brought him in anyway
