The homerun record in baseball is arguably the most covetted and most prestigious individual sports record someone can hold. I am a baseball fan and there is no doubt that Bonds is / was a talented player. However, that being said, I think that he has disgraced the sport and that it would be a tarnished record should / when he hits two more homeruns.

I have utterly no respect for him at all as a player anymore. Not only has he constantly denied that he ever took steroids, he continues to persue the games most lofty record. I think it will be a sad day when someone who is known to have cheated by using performance enhancing drugs is allowed to obtain and keep such a prized record as the MLB All Time Home Run Record.
