How can they like football? It's obvious they just like the hype and 'team spirit' which to my mind is just going yaay because everyone else is. It just seems like a pethetic attempt to 'belong', which is just deluding yourself imo.
What is so special about running back and forth and dancing your feet about, I'm much more impressed by mma, powerlifting and lots of other sports.
I admit I like watching woman tennis just to cheer on the Williams sisters, because they're hot, though.

whats so impressive about lifting a wieght?
thats the counter arguement, the football purist can say that there are skills both physical and tactically on the football pitch that is unriveled elsewhere. unless you have a team that you devote your saturday to, you are angry when they loose, you sit and shout at players to pass a ball when you are watching it on tv like they can hear you, you will watch a division 3 team play just because its football.
football isnt just a sport its a whole sociological lifestyle choice, it buids community, seperates communities, it is a matter of life and death, its what makes you look forward to the weekend.
iv started playing 11 aside football again and im telling you i love it, i look forward to it, and although it may be a kickabout in the park and mean nothing i treat it like its the world cup final.
Saying a sport pisses yu off is all fair and well but remember that your views arnt always shared by everyone else, thats the beauty of sport and even football. I hope MMA makes it to footballs level and if it does il love it, football is the worlds top sport for a reason tho.
