Much better than MMAWeekly's imo! Although no Mach at LW is a little strange, and Im not sure I agree with Gilbert being no.2 but other than that they seem good!

I don't think Gomi is better than Penn or Sherk(unless he's downgraded for cheating-allegedly). I also think Dan is better than Anderson Silva, who got submitted a few times in pride.

Anderson last got subbed in 2004, since then he's earnt his black belt and has won all of his fights except for the DQ loss to Okami. Anderson has also beaten 2 other top 10 MWs decisively (one of them being the previous ranked no.1) and holds belts in the UFC, Shooto and Cage Rage.
Dan's biggest win at MW is Misaki, who is only borderline top10 (depending on whether you go by MMAWeekly or Sherdog's rankings). Its also worth noting, that since beating Misaki Dan's also lost to him.
Anderson's achievements at MW far outweigh Dan's and therefore he should be ranked higher imo.

Actually I heard Josh Gross and TJ de Santis talking about the ranking the other day.. They said, it'll be based on "What the fighter has achieved lately".. And not based on "the fighter's potentials"..
They'll do another ranking for "Best pound for pound fighter" e.g. 1. Fedor 2. GSP .... (how i like it to be )

Why? Randy's only HW win in the last few years has been Tim Sylvia.
Even if Gonzaga's only win was Mirko (which it obviously wasnt) then that alone should be enough to put him above Randy being that Mirko's ranked higher than Tim.

Well I see the logic, but Dan fights at lhw should also count. I still think Sherk and BJ are better than Gomi.

i really didnt like these rankings at all. any ranking with serra at number 1 in ww is invalid to me.

I like these ratings, but if rashad is up there tito should be, and bj should be above gomi. all the rest seem ok.
