Thanks for the interview, it was a good one. I always like hearing what he has to say.
I'm hoping that the rematch with Rashad really does happen, because I want to see things settled once and for all. But with his back injury still always giving him problems, I wouldn't be surprised if it affects his performance again. I hope the rematch turns out to be a good fight.
But I don't think that he should face the winner of Shogun/Forrest. I like Tito and everything, but I think he should have to face one or two lower-ranked guys who are still very good, like Gouveia and Lambert (who continues to move up in the division). Both Gouveia and Lambert are impressive, exciting fighters, and could test Tito before he deserves a title shot again. Another fighter he should face is (finally) Babalu.
I feel as if he keeps getting these title shots just because he's "Tito Ortiz", and not because he earned them. I want to see Tito work his way up more, and actually get some decisive wins before going for the belt. IMO Shogun and Forrest should get the chance first, if they earn it; there should be a wider variety of fighters going for the championship belt, instead of always placing Tito there.
I'd also love to see Rampage vs Tito, and it seems like Tito is willing to fight his "friend". I think this could happen some day, if both fighters are paid enough.
