I just think some people, including myself, are still wondering why nimmy and NGH was banned. I am just not sure that the sole purpose of **** was as malicious as it seems.

I was browsing the Lobby when I came across the Hall of Fame thread. Here is who Nimmy(who has since been banned for his involvement in ****) voted for:

See, this is what happens when people try to run a popularity contest. If you NEED that type of gratification, then you are in trouble. Gooner and I don't like each other. In fact we ignore each other. But, I would be glad to be on the most hated list of Team **** along with Gooner. LOL. At least Gooner has his own opinions. He owns them and sticks to his guns. He has never seemed to need a team to support him. I don't need anybody to support me, love me, pat me on the back, or defend me.

This is some weird ****.

I think my "relationship" with Nimmy got worse after that HOF-post that jm quoted.
I used to think he was an OK poster and good to have around, but that changed. First to "he's a crappy poster, isn't he". Then to "he's a crappy person as well".
I know, Kaledonia. That's just my opinion.

I'm not gonna lie and say I didn't like the banter with him.
Would be kinda hypocritical of me to whine about it anyway, I probably gave him more **** than he gave me.
I don't get worked up about stuff online. So yeah, he wasn't making me miserable. I just didn't like him and told it like it was.

As for the rest of Team ****, I never really had problems with any of them. In fact, I think they were some of the best members here, especially LNP.
Stuff like the jokes about "reconciling" with Subgenius to fight our common enemy were just that, jokes. Me joining ** would have been the more likely option.

So, this is all very unfortunate is what I'm saying, I guess.

EDITED to say that even though our personal "beef" with Nimmy was sometimes fun, I did have a problem with some of his controversial (racial) material.
It was obviously a big part of why I disliked him.

This reaction is seriously bizarre, Subgenius. I can't help but laugh a little because I've always though of myself as one of the rational and neutral people here. I have a feeling that NGH and Nimmy will be back if they choose to forget about all of this. They were both great contributors to the forum as was LNP. Somehow I don't think LNP will be welcomed back though, creating an alias and revealing members' IP addresses is just wrong and immature, we don't need people like that around here.

Yes I agree with you. I wish LNP could come back, but it is not looking good. I cant find anything that NGH and Nimmy were guilty of other than being a part of **, which is far as I know, is not reason to be banned.
