Also, Krav. Most contractors are required to provide a copy of their business license and insurance upon request and will do any repair work needed within the warranty timeframe faster. You don't have to deal with a third point of contact, like Sears, and don't want any negative feedback through the BBB because their reputation and word of mouth is a major part of their new business. I worked at a HomeBase many years back and the subcontractors we used were the source of 99% of our complaints. They usually are the cheapest on the market and deal with all home improvement stores so are way overbooked and can never finish the work in the timeframe promised and when they do show up they rush through the jobs to get to the next job as quickly as possible.
