How is Martin over-rated? because we think he will beat Leban easily? No one has said Martin is a top MW in the World. The fact is the UFC MW div is weak. Martin may be top 5 in the UFC but thats not saying much imo. Theres Silva, Franklin, Okami and then there is a significant drop off

I didn't base my saying he is overrated on this thread. There were other threads that hinted at Martin being the next big thing, even going as far as to saying that he was nearly a contender for a title shot.

Totally agree. It will be a while before we see Leben again if he loses. However, I think it will be a GREAT fight.

I hate to spoil the euphoria but... when was the last time Leben was involved in a good fight? The last great fight I recall is when Silva ko'ed him with a first round mma masterclass. Silva basically borrowed Leben's big head for that one.

ive at least tryed too technicly explain why it hink leben has a very good chance too win andpeople dont respond in kind, they respond with:


"leben sucks"

"nothing like seeing leben get ko'd"

"martin will crush leben"



thigns like that,out of three pages maybe one person has actually taken the time too given a decent explantion on why they think leben has no chance.

I don't think Martin over Leben would be classified as an "upset." It'll be close to even money, or Leben a favorite.

He lost one of those fights to the current MW champ. So ill give you that. Then the other 2 losses have come to very average fighters who are kinda new to the UFC but have decent well rounded skills. Having a good chin will only get you so far in MMA , ask Cabbage.

Randy's 2 losses to chuck in his last 4 fights is not even close to comparison to the level of fighters Leben lost his last 2 fights to. Mcdonald and Starnes aren't even in the top 10 LHW.

I already explained why i dont like him so i wont get into that anymore.

as far i i see it his fight with starnes was a dead even tie, he lost too the current mw champion, was detroyed in the first round just like rich and nate.

his fight with mcdoanld he was easily dominating until he got caught.

im not convinced leben is done.

He fought a "close" fight with Starnes. He got "caught" and choked out in half guard by Mcdonald. Neither of which are top 10 LHW's. If Leben is so good and underrated he should not have had a problem with either if these guys.
