Add Tito Ortiz to the list of people who thought Matt Hamill got shafted at UFC 75.

The UFC light heavyweight served as a coach on “The Ultimate Fighter 3” for both Hamill and Michael Bisping, and he saw a clear winner in his two students’ recent fight at UFC 75. Ortiz says that not only did Matt Hamill win, but he also challenged the UFC to “do the right thing” after what he perceived to be a botched decision at the Sept. 8 event.

Hamill, a three-time NCAA Division III national wrestling champion, lost a controversial split decision to Bisping at the Sept. 8 event. Despite the fight taking place at the O2 Arena in London, England, even Bisping’s own countrymen booed the decision.

So, too, did Ortiz, who recently posted his thoughts on MMA.tv’s popular messageboard, The Underground Forum.

Wrote Ortiz:

"After watching the fight between Matt and Mike, it was clear to me and everyone, that Matt clearly won this fight. I felt I needed to speak out on this since Matt is my boy. He trains hard and delivered 100%. The UFC needs to come out of their silent hiding and make a call on this. They obviously reward matches to who THEY want to win, not to the top competitor. So, here it is… I challenge the UFC to actually do the right thing for Matt Hamill… Tito Ortiz"

Obviously, Ortiz isn’t the most partial of analysts. Hamill was Ortiz’s first pick on the show, and the two formed a strong bond during the series. Hamill event spent some time after the series training with Ortiz’s Team Punishment.

Additionally, Ortiz doesn’t necessarily have the warmest of relationships with the UFC or UFC President Dana White. Still, though, he’s simply echoing the sentiments many fans have expressed since the event aired eight days ago.

The guy never been afraid to speak his mind after all I admit!!

If they do, do something how are they able to change the decision? Does it have to be recorded in a sertain time and is offical and is unable to be change?

You can't change a bloody decision no matter how awful it was because of effing gambling. All the $$$$ has already been payed and collected and who is going to straighten THAT mess out?!?! One more reason I despise gambling. It is the main reason fights/games etc. are thrown or stolen by crooked officials. The ALMIGHTY $$$$$$$$$.

Tito is right that Hamill won,but we all knew that. Well, those of us who know MMA anyway.

This is the first time I have agreed with anything to come out of Tito's mouth in a long time.

Good Job Jacob!

How the hell did Bisping get the win?? Hamill chased him around and hunted him down the whole fight!! , and even took him down like 3-4times! ,
Its really sad that Hamill, a guy that trained so hard , and so deserved the win, got screwed but a crap decision. I mean Hamill lives to fight another day , but how hard must it be for Hamill , that he trained his arse off for the fight , and has to walk around with a loss on his belt that he didnt deserve!

I agree that sports gambling is somewhat ruining sports. Far to often we are seeing games , fights etc. manipulated for profit from betting. However i wouldnt condemn all gambling so quickly. There are plenty of other forms of gambling that dont involve what i have mentioned. It is every persons right to spend their money how they see fit.

I vote that a Hamill/Bisping thread is given a sticky and every thread that has ANYTHING to do with that fight is immediately merged into that one. Or of course someone could simply just post in that thread.

Hamill LnPs kind of like Tito, im guessing thats the reason he thought Hamill won because he did the same to Rashad and he didnt get the win. Keep it up judges, soon we will be rid of all LnPs, holding someone down and doing nothing doesnt get you points, jabbing and landing, attemptings submissions, etc do.Hamill LnPed and hoped for the best and didnt win.

Interesting point about the betting aspect. Probably another form of pressure but on major sporting events to not reverse decisions. Although the call was not pleased by many, you can't change it. If they change one then it would open a floodgate of other fights to be re-examined. It sucks, but EVERY fighter and fan knows that if you let the fight go to the judges there is always a chance that what may look like a clear cut victory will not always play out like that.

How many more Bisping hater threads do I have to read on here!!! You thought Bisping didn't win the fight... great! I personally don't give a sh1t what Tito Ortiz said about the decision i'll make my own mind up.

Maybe there should be a separate website or one thread were you can all slag off Bisping all you like, then those of us who thought the judges made the right decision can stay the hell away from it!

Hammil spent very little time trying to LnP. He stood with Bisbing and controlled the fight in even without the takedowns. Your bias is pathetic.

We're not trash talking Bisping, he is a great fighter. Its just hamill clearly won the fight, but the judges went the other way with the decision. I don't know if it was to keep the fans in Europe or to stop a riot, or just bad judging. But most of the people who watched that fight think that Hamill clearly won. Maybe try reading the posts over again, because Bisping's name is hardly mentioned.

Well this certainly does not come as a surprise. Tito signs his new contract then tee's off on the UFC.

Bisping supporters are quick to get defensive because while they may never admit it, deep inside they know he lost that fight.

They'll just re-match them. And this is a win win for Hammill. You know Hammill is gonna train twice as hard and you're giving him more time to tighten up his striking (which wasnt half bad in the fight).

Second, this will be tougher for Bisping because nothing short of simply stopping Hammill wil win him the fight. I honestly think BIsping is way too small for LHW. Hammill is your proto-typical wrestler. Big, wide, strong. Now adding at least manageable striking in there = NO Way in hell Bisping could beat that kid, not standing, and defintiely not on the ground.

BCG, I don't mind at all if you or anyone else wants to gamble. I DO mind that it brings corruption into the sports I enjoy watching.

What are you on. Controlling the fight....by throwing about 3 punches, thats not controlling someone. Bisping wanted to stay on the outside because he knew he could win a boxing match, which he did. Your opinion is pathetic also because 2 Judges and THE REF, yes THE REF, who has a much better view of the fight than you said Bisping won, now shush.
