Default contract differances

the UFC only offers 1 contract fights to non-title holders while i believe that Pride offers multi-fight contracts. now if i were a fighter i would certianly like a multi-fight contract. i'd be more able to focus on my training and not worry about holding a real job. in the UFC even if you fight a good fight and lose you can be dropped so most UFC fighters have to have real jobs. now i understand that there are lazy guys out there that figure i have a four fight deal and money in my pocket so i won't train as hard and if i lose, so what, i still have 3 fights under my contract. however, i would imagine Pride thinks this as well and probably has a "poor performance" clause in thier contracts. i think the UFC would one day do well to deal out multi-fight contracts as well.

I thought Tito did have a mulit-fight contract before his last fight against Belfort. I just thought that was the last fight on his contract. Do they really go by 1-fight contracts?

That is sucky if you ask me.

No loss clause is very, very damaging to the sport, IMO.

Now dont quote me on this but I am sure fighters still get multi fight contracts. But only the proven fighters get them. For all the new comers that they let fight, they only get 1 fight contracts to show theyr'e stff. But to a guy like Tito or Vitor I am sure they still get 3 fight contracts, because the UFC already know what to expect out of them.
