Lil Nog Signs With...
Lil Nog signs with Hardcore Championship Fighting!? Who saw this one coming...
Quote:
According to Hardcore Championship Fighting CEO, Keith Crawford, the Canadian MMA promotion has signed Pride veteran Antonio Rogerio Nogueira (12-3) to an exclusive 3 fight contract. During a taping for FCF Radio this afternoon, Crawford confirmed that HCF had signed the highly regarded light-heavyweight fighter.
“Today we’ve announced the signing of Antonio Rogerio Nogueira,” Crawford said. “Minotoro of course the nickname that’s the smaller brother, the 205 pound Nogueira, to get a gentlemen with his Pride experience and fight experience under exclusive contract to us is huge for us, and huge for MMA in Canada. We’re hoping his first fight will be in November in Vancouver, as one of our main-events, or semi-main-events, on the Vancouver card. Either way we are ecstatic to have him under our banner.”

Who the heck is HCF ????
I never even heard of that before........Sucks a bit, I don't see how this is good for a fighters career isn't the point to be the best champ ever, This kind of move makes you look like you are in it for nothing but a pay day and don't care to fight the best.......That won't win you fans even if it is true.

My guess would be that Little Nogueira has lost two out of his last three fights, so maybe the UFC wanted to pass on him for a while and wait and see if Little Nogueira could get back onto a winning streak. Big Nogueira has been 7-2-0-1(NC) in his last ten fights as well as once holding the PRIDE Fighting HW title for two years (2001-2003). Big Nogueira really has been more marketable from that perspective.

Isn't this the same organization that contracted Fedor's little bro a short while back?

I thought I heard that it was a multi-fight deal like Little Nog got, but it looks like just a single fight signing for Aleksander at HCF...
Hardcore Championship Fighting promoter Keith Crawford and president Dave Houshiar took their Canadian upstart organization up a notch Monday with the signing of Aleksander Emelianenko (11-3-0) to October 19's HCF 5 show in Calgary, Alberta.
The younger brother of highly coveted free agent and PRIDE heavyweight champion Fedor Emelianenko, Aleksander will face steel-skulled Hawaiian journeyman and Team BJ Penn fighter Wesley “Cabbage” Correira (18-13-0). Both foreigners have faced top heavyweight competition in the past with appearances in PRIDE and the UFC. Number-one world ranked fighter Emelianenko is expected to corner his younger brother, said the promoter.
