Well...never mind then.
So much for betting on heavy favorites. Nice payoffs for all you risktakers out there. Plenty to talk about for the next few weeks.

Exactly (EXACTLY) what happened to him when he lost to Couture. Someone came in with a smart gameplan, timed Chuck's strikes, and kept him off balance with a combination of jabs and kicks.

You mean, the exact same thing that has happened in pretty much all of Chuck's losses?
As a Liddell fan, the most frustrating thing for me (and I think most MMA fans) is that Chuck makes himself a one dimensional striker. He has good kicks but rarely uses them. He reportedly has some good BJJ skills and yet he never uses them. He's a phenomenal defensive wrestler, but he never uses his wrestling skill to gain an advantage from an offensive standpoint. At this stage in his career, it's obvious he'll never change his style. He's one of the all time greats, but you have to wonder how much potential he's left untapped.

What a crappy job Chuck's corner did tonight! Chuck did the same damn thing he did the first time he fought Rampage. When he started to land some shots he didn't follow-up and was content on hanging around on the outside where Keith picked him off with some leg shots. What happened to the Chuck who pounced on his victims? He was no where to be seen tonight. Very disappointing fight.

Anybody else think the UFC jinxed themselves in naming the card Knockout? 0 knockouts on the main card, and only 1 didn't go to the judges, and that went deep into the 3rd anyway.

No, that's not what I mean. The Rampage fight didn't go down like that. Chuck got caught by one knockout punch and went down. Tonight was a slow and methodical disassembly, like the first Couture fight.

Shogun went down. Tapped out. Add him to the list of PRIDE Fighters that were supposedly so much better than the UFC Fighters and that have gone down to crushing defeats in the octagon. I am sorry to say this, but the myth of PRIDE Fighting's superiority died tonight.
And, the myth that Chuck Liddell was the best LHW also died tonight. Keith Jardine went out and delivered a great fight for himself. The Dean of Mean just went up many notches on the ladder for the LHW division. And, he can look over his shoulder and see Forrest Griffin smiling at him.
And yes, I bet points on both Jardine and Griffin for the win!

Three fights ended by submission, if you look at the undercard. But, you are damn right. The UFC should NEVER have called this event "Knockout"! LOL.

I think it should be some type of rule that you can't post a spoilers thread until AFTER the event is finished.

chucks got average kicks a good sprawl and wicked hand power...but its called mma for a reason the days of one dimensional offence are gone the sport is evolving quicker than anyone could of imagined....pretty soon the next generation will be here and we will look on the first decades fighters as amateurish

He refered to the maincard when he said 1 didn't go the distance, Shogun vs Griffin.

I agree. What happened to the awesome might of the PRIDE Fighters? We have seen nothing of the greatness that was supposed to make the UFC Fighters look like amateurs. One-by-one the PRIDE Fighters have fallen victim to the octagon. Fedor? Now we know why he has stalled his contract signing and will likely never fight in the UFC.

It was a close match, and the first round could have gone either way. Fitch won the second, while Sanchez won the third. I call it another lousy decision. But, I blame Sanchez for allowing the fight (yet again) to go the distance.
