It's worse than pro-wrestling. It's REALITY TV!!!
And, I don't think anybody said that Mitichyan faked a broken elbow. But, faking the response to being told he had a broken elbow has a high degree of probability. Reality TV has little to do with reality. It has more to do with ratings. Such outbursts as we saw from Roman are exactly the drama that REALITY TV goes for in order to get ratings.
Otherwise, Mitichyan acted like a supremely UNPROFESSIONAL fighter that does not deserve to be in the UFC. That doctor does not get paid to be bullied by MMA fighters.
What Mitichyan did was totally out of control. Just what reality TV would ask for from somebody.
As far as TUF goes, I don't trust what they show outside of the training and the fights. Everything else can easily be staged. Especially all that stupid BS at the house.

Well if you got your one big chance at making it to the pro's you'd be pissed off too. I really felt for Roman.

Does anyone think that it's anyone other than Joe that Serra is gonna kick off the show?
I really think that would get his teams attention as well they would be like wow he just kicked his boy off the show, Serra isn't messing around!
Yeah that guy Daniel Barrera with his God talk, buddy it might have had to do with Hughes being very impressed with your skills during evals that he picked you, it had nothing to do with god!

I'd like to see Joe kicked off, if you have someone like that moping around, it really brings down the motivation of your team. I think I liked it better when fighters had to leave the house when they lost. It gets some of the stupid drama out of the house and allows for the fighters who are still alive to stay focused and spend more time with the coaches.

They never showed how he broke the elbow, just said it happened during the evaluations. About the God talk, Hughes has claimed to be a Christian, and this guy does too. It doesn't make him crazy to think that God had a hand in putting two Christians together. Diego thinks that he gets power from a thunderstorm and who knows what Luke Cummo thinks about mother earth and all LOL! I'm starting to think that the fighters are encouraged to write on the walls and tear up the house. None of my fighters would act that way and they are all ammys!

My guess is they just didn't catch it on tape, it seems a lot more likely than some conspiracy theory.
I have a good feeling Serra is going to get steamrolled, why he fell into matt's trap, and THEN didn't pick Maks? blah

Seriously, I don't think Scarola wants to fight again, and he's afraid that someone will drop out and he'll be back. He showed no heart in that fight, and the ending seemed to be exactly what Serra was expecting.

Roman was hillarious, I almost spit beer out of my nose when he picked the flower and smelt it, I just found that hillarious.
Scarola is a strange one, he definately lacks heart and Serra knew this. How did he get onto the show, and knowing who he is, why would Serra allow him to go on the show in the first place.

My only guess would be that they are friends in the real world outside of Reality TV. Matt Serra maybe wanted to show Joe what real MMA fighting was all about at the UFC level. Joe Scarola has a 4-0 MMA record over at Sherdog. All four wins by submission. He has fought in lower promotions like Vengeance at the Vanderbilt, Reality Fighting, and Ring of Combat. They sound like little local promotions that have nobody fighters from nowhere.
But, Scarola came from East meadow, NY, which is fairly close to Long Island, NY where Matt Serra lives and trains. Matt Serra probably just wanted to help a home town kid get a break in the big league. But, it blew up in both their faces. The total win-loss records for ALL of the four guys that Scarola had fought before the show equaled a piss-poor 0-6. Not one opponent had a win on his record.
Now, compare that to Mac Danzig, and we see a huge difference. Mac Danzig has a good record of 16-4-1. Matt Hughes knew what he was getting when he picked Danzig. And, IMO, Scarola NEVER had a chance against Mac Danzig as Danzig had been a well-known King of the Cage fighter with a 7-1 KOTC record. Danzig had one loss over in PRIDE against Mach Sakurai. So, Matt Hughes knew who Danzig was in MMA.

Serra never shuts up. Hughes seems more professional. We'll see this week who does a better job coaching.

It's not just fighters! "Bob" of "Bob & Tom Show" fame is Armenian. His last name is Kevoian, which isn't spelled the same, but has the same sound.

East Meadow is a town on Long Island.
Danzig looks good and yeah, I think Joe lost before he entered the ring.
Loyalty's pretty overrated if it's really gonna hurt your team with it (or your country for that matter).

What is with Huges being on the bible and praying kick.
I'd like to see Joe quit his crying about wanting to make a phone call.

Praying is normal for the NFL and other big sports. Also, most all of the MFS fighters are into prayer. The bit with the bible was there to teach a small moral lesson. Matt even explained it. There is life outside of MMA for these fighters. They can be good role models and they can do good things. That's what I saw in his Bible lesson thing.

Moral lessons can be taught without bringing religion and bibles into it. If they do that at MFS, that's their business.

Like I said, if it hurts your team or your country, it's not such a good idea.
In this case, look at the distractions and drama due to loyalty. He probably would've ended up with Joe anyway but at least he might have a better fighter along the way.
Enough about Joe...

Yeah, that's exactly why seeing all this organized religion-nonsense is always so disappointing.

I know and I agree totally, but they bring in a variety of people and some may take offense to those type of issues being pushed on them. There grown men that have most likely chosen there path in life including religion. I doubt if Hughes is going to get them to be better christians by praying. May be he could have found a different book with a different story that would have been more fitting for all included. Too many varied religions in the world to assume that praying within his was correct.

I see what you mean, but he's Matt Hughes. He went with what he knows. I think that he would have been attacked by Hughes-haters regardless of what book or whatever that he went with. He told the guys that they did NOT have to read it or participate in that lesson, and Mac Danzig opted not to do it. That's his choice. I doubt that Hughes now hates Danzig for that choice. And, let's be honest, most of those guys likely are Christians.
I am not a church going man. I read the Bible when I was a kid. I hated reading the Bible. It seemed like a lot of work. I read The Lord fo the Rings and thought it was more fun. LOTRs had moral lessons as well. It even had Christian motiffs and ideology infused in it. So did The Lion, The Witch, and The Wardrobe. So, I can understand the moaning and groaning about the Bible lesson. But, I don't think that it makes Hughes a bad guy.

I think that Spike TV and the UFC decided to air that Bible lesson segment, but I think that it should have been edited out. The fans of the sport reacted far more aggressively than the guys on the show, except for maybe Matt Serra and his running off at the mouth.
