LET'S VOTE! FIGHT FORUM'S Official Rankings Thread -- October
Your Vote Counts! It’s time for Fight Forum members to gather and rank the TOP 10 UFC fighters for each weight class.
Here are the rules for those of you who are unfamiliar:
1. Around the last week of every month, I’ll post a new thread for all Fight Forum members (mods are welcome as well) to rank their Top 10 UFC Fighters for each division.
2. Member rankings will end on Sunday, September 30th at 8:00 PM PST. I’ll then calculate all of the votes from each participating member to determine that month’s “Fight Forum Member’s Official UFC Rankings” and post a new thread with the official results of the Top 10 fighters in each weight class.
3. If you’re wondering how the calculations will be made, I’ll assign points for the ranking you give them. I.E. 10 points for 1st, 9 pts for 2nd, on down to 1 pt for 10th. The fighter with the most collective points in a particular weight class will be ranked 1st overall and so on.
4. Since you’re posting your Top 10 list for all to see, please maintain your integrity and vote with as little bias as possible. For example, if you’re a huge Bisping fan and place him as the #1 LHW fighter in the UFC then everyone will know you’re a tool.
5. The UFC rankings are intended to be for the upcoming month, not all-time. For rankings to be included in the overall results, all fighters must either have fought in the UFC within the last 12 months, have a current UFC fight scheduled or be signed to a new UFC contract, thereby qualifying their intentions to fight in the UFC in the near future.
6. For rankings to count, you must rank all ten fighters for each weight class. If you only rank six fighters at MW, for example, your rankings will not be included in the final tally.
7. You may edit your rankings after you first make them. If you edit, however, you must PM me to let me know that you’ve done so. I usually tally the rankings on a daily basis, so if you edit them later and don’t notify me, I will not know and your previous rankings will remain.
Here are my rankings for October:
(my prior month’s rankings are in parentheses)
If you criticize my LHW rankings, I’ll probably agree with you. I thought that this division was particularly difficult to rank and I’m thoroughly not satisfied.

As always, I’ve included a list of UFC fighters for those who don’t want to overlook fighters. This isn’t intended to be a 100% comprehensive list, it’s merely a guideline of some of the more notable or recent UFC fighters. It is just my opinion based on who I believe he could beat. I get sick of all the "he hasnt fought anyone crap", if you see it that way then that is your opinion. People getting excited about fighters is what keeps MMA going regardless of who they fight. He beats who they put in front of him, he does not hand pick his opponents so I am not going to count that against him. I wish he would fight Ken-flo next, everyones favorite over-rated fighter IMO. Everyone he fights that we have actually heard of he loses and I have a hard time counting Din b/c Din was winning the round up until he injured his knee.

hey I think the guy is exciting. I like to watch him fight but I get sick of everyone acting like he is top 5 just because he is winning against guys who arent even in the top 50. yeah he is destorying who they put in front of him and I applaud that. Is Cole Miller top 5 now? I mean he beat Garcia too. I just think before we put that guy on top he needs to fight someone worth talking about. I mean if I go beat up my neighbor is that gonna put me in the top 5? Probably not. Then why is it making him top 5 is all Im asking.

I ranked Huerta #5 based on his potential from what I have seen so far, and I'm still thinking that may have been a little high. I would like to see him and Spencer Fisher go at it, they are both high intensity fighters who like to push the fight, and IF Huerta can take him, then I would have no qualms about ranking him in the top 5.

It's funny you guys are talking about Huerta because it seems when I look at each person's ranking one of the first things I look for is to see where Huerta is ranked. I realize that a ranking can be based on potential but I would still rather rely on who a fighter has actually beaten or even if a fighter lost who was it they lost to and what kind of fight did they give that opponent.
Because of that I don't see how anyone could rank Huerta above Stevenson, Fisher, or Florian just to name a few.
And to say that Huerta has earned his way into a title shot is hilarious.
Keep in mind that I'm not saying Huerta isn't capable of making it to the top, I'm just saying that he hasn't earned it as much as other fighters as of now.
We should all call Dana and beg him to put Huerta against a top LW for his next fight. That would most likely put an end to all of this.

Sure enough I am reluctantly taking Shogun, Liddell and Filipovic off the list until they prove they really want to fight.

I'd rank Huerta a little higher if he fights someone with even basic standup, course he's going to look great if all he fights his grapplers
