I think Pride and UFC are equals and always have been. But there were a LOT of people on the net who thought Pride would sweep the UFC belts, and now there are some people who say that Pride fighters are highly overrated. I expect some Pride fighters will have belts, and some UFC fighters will have belts, because the talent in both orgs was comparable, ie the best in the world. Maybe "meaningless" wasn't the best choice of word. What I mean to say is, it's expected that Pride fighters will take some belts, because they are equal to the UFC fighters, not across the board better or worse.
