I guess I wouldn't call Cabbage really a can just because the guy has such a hard head but Alek is sometimes reanked in the top 10. Don't know how you would bet against him.

Yeah, I suppose Aleks doesn't have to worry about his atrocious submission defense being exploited in this one.

Cabbage Out, Bobish In
Cabbage Out, Bobish In
FCFighter.com is reporting that UFC veteran Welsey “Cabbage” Correira has pulled out of his October 19th showdown with PRIDE veteran Aleksander Emelianenko. According to the report, Correira was unable to compete due to “unforeseen circumstances”. Correira’s replacement will be PRIDE veteran Dan Bobish... continue reading

This fight is pointless imo. Bobish is huge and out of shape and has been stopped by every decent fighter he has faced. This will do nothing for Aleks' career.

hopefully this is something that Aleks is doing just to keep active. he is so much better then this. He has the skill to be Top 3 in the UFC if he'd just train hard. Aleks vs. Tim Sylvia, or even Aleks vs. Kongo have the makings for much better fights.

Would like to see Aleks pound Cabbage's iron head. After this fight hopefully the UFC signs him.

Consider this a sparing match for Aleksander. Don't expect much of a fight out of the "old UFC tourny vet" bobish. Although, he has had somewhat of a winning streak against bigger and more out of shape cans then him. lol

I'll be rooting for Bobish in this one. Probably just because I met him before and he's a nice guy.
Not that he has much of a chance.
