Frank Shamrock has an axe to grind. He won't have good things to say about the UFC, not ever. And, every time he opens his mouth and says dumb stuff like in that interview, he puts a nail in the coffin of any chance to ever return to the UFC. I disagreed with almost everything that he said because it seemed to not be well-informed about the sport.
And, anybody that complains about the UFC marketing the brand really has no clue about the true nature of MMA and sports in general. The UFC is and always has been a business. They make money. That will always be the bottom line. And, don't be fooled, even Frank Shamrock is a mercenary when it comes to fighting in MMA. He's only out to make money. All fighters fight to make money. Look at Randy Couture. He proved that when he quite the UFC.
