Anybody understand why Vitali Klitschko is that big a favorite over Hasim Rahman according to current odds?
Is Klitschko overrated, is Rahman underrated, or do you actually think these odds reflect the situation pretty well?

The last big fight Vitali had was against Lennox and alot of people said he won it even though it was stopped (myself being one of those persons) and the last fight Rahman had against Lewis was when he got KO'd. That is probally why most think Vitali is gonna win. If both come in at top shape I see it being a good fight and Vitali winning by KO or unanimous decision.

I just wanted to bet on the underdog to see if I can make some bank. I don't know much about Rahman so I can't say if he can hang with Vitali for sure.

Thanks for the response.
Just to let you know: the name is Corrie Sanders. I am saying this because there is another popular boxer who is indeed named Corey Sanders (fought Andrew Golota for instance).

As Rahman faced Lewis for the first time, Lewis - as it appeared to me - was very confident but not well-prepared, not focussed really.
As Klitschko fought Lewis, Lennox seemed to be more focussed than he was in the fight mentioned above but out-of-shape and too old to continue his long career.
In the second fight against Rahman, Lennox probably was as focussed as it gets.
Both Rahman and Klitschko fought sort of a "weak" version of Lewis: Rahman won impressively, while Klitschko lost sort of impressively. What version was the better one?
Some member mentioned (in another thread I think) that Rahman might be scared of Vitali. I doubt this because I cannot see a boxer being scared of Klitschko who already was in the ring with Lewis twice, Tua twice, Ruiz, Holyfield, Sanders and many others.
What is Vitali's best fight? Probably the loss to Lewis. What is his best win? The one against Sanders or Donald maybe? Rahman is very experienced and hungry again - he will win, I am sure of that. I cannot wait for this bout, ladies and gentlemen.

Two more weeks, baby! Seriously: the closer we are getting to the date of the fight, the more am I convinced Rahman is going to beat up Klitschko.

Hasim "The Rock" Rahman, I support you! Two-Time Champion!

I expect a knockout within the 4th and the 7th round. Check my Title.

Well I am going with my gut on this one. Points are on Rahman. And Bull I liked the FF bouncer title myself.

Possibly the fight he had with Byrd when he was leading on all three judges scorecards and had to stop because his shoulder was messed up.....you forgot that one Bull. Byrd is no chump.

Rahman wont make it pass the third round. Klitchko will jabb him so bad he will look like what Holyfield did to his head. ( that looked like a orange was popping out of his head)

The champ was winning on all cards against Lewis, and VK retired Lewis as Lewis has stated he didn't want to lose his belt to a "white man," and should he lose the belt he wanted to lose it to a "Brotha" which is ebonics for a another black. If you follow boxing and followed Lewis than you know he made this statement and it is sad because VK had a rematch in his contract with Lewis and he ran chicken, I mean he retired so he would not have to face Dr. Ironfist who would have taken him out early in a rematch. Think about it for a minute. Why did he retire after he fought VK?
He knew he could not beat him without the refs help. I don't blame him as I would have done the same thing. Why have a rematch with a guy that was cutting your face up and beating you in every round until the ref saved him? Your boy is going down within 4 rounds. This will be a terrible knock out. I hope the champ doesn't kill this guy. VK will be the champ as long as he wants to be. I sure hope your boy is not the next "black hope." Like for many years in the past I have heard over and over about the racist term the "great white hope." Now the liberal sports media should be refering to your boy as the "Great black hope" but they will not because it would sound racist, but not racist when the hope is white. I remember this with Jerry Quarry, Tommy M, Gerry C and on and on. The sports media needs to learn that it is now the white mans trun to rules the HW division just like many years ago when the real Rocky ruled everyone including the so-called "brown Bomber" who turned out to be the Brown punching bag for Rocky and an easy win and VK will destroy your boy. Sorry, but I know boxing and have been around a long time and every so often a super fighter comes along. Tyson, Ali, Forman, Rocky, and now VK.

Listen: I do not give a damn about race! I am a white german man whose favorite fighter all-time is Mike Tyson and currently Lamon Brewster.
Everybody knows racism is an everyday-topic, but I do not expect this public forum to be the right place to discuss questions as they can be risen after your statements because it only ends in verbal wars (like with Religion).

The contract you mentioned: if Klitschko was guaranteed a rematch, why was he asking for one directly after his fight against Lewis, and why did he have to fight the Canadian Kirk Johnson for the WBC number 1 spot afterwards?

'The refs help': it was the doctor who advised the referee to stop the fight.

Lewis was getting his face cut up by Klitschko?? Please rewatch the fight and tell me afterwards who got the real bad cuts there.

There are lots of - let me say: controversial - points you make I think.

I am not warning or banning you now but ask you kindly not to post statements that sound like they were made by a racist. I have recognized this before, and you only have six posts I think. This is not accepted here at FightForum.

I personally feel very sorry for everyone who only likes a fighter due to the color of his skin.

Racism has no place in professional sports on here. No great white Hope and No great black Hope. Just the skill of the fighter. And I also agree with Bull. I don't think that Klitschko had a rematch in his contract. Or he would have asked for it. And in my experience the doctors are the only ones who have always seemed to make the right call in boxing.

I personally am convinced Vitali Klitschko is scared of Hasim Rahman.
The fight will be rescheduled because Klitschko is injured again. If I remember correctly both were supposed to fight each other in April. Then Klitschko pulled out due to a "back injury" he got from jogging. Rahman beat his buddy Monte Barrett after that. Now this! I honestly believe: Rahman got under his skin, Vitali is afraid .... all he is seeing is the right hand of Rahman that sent Lennox Lewis into dream land ...

Well two injuries like that dose leave me to draw the same conclusions that you have Bull. I would have like to have seen how this fight wen't. I was even thinking of ordering it. I havn't ordered a boxing PPV in a while now.

PS. Sorry Bull, I missed that it was posted in this one.
