I could see that. A story line would be "Matt Serra Thinks Hughes is a Dick". So they glean the tapes to find everything they can to promote that story line. But it's still just editing, because no one comes up to Matt Serra with a written script he has to act out. They're just repeating, highlighting and re-ordering stuff he said to promote their story line.
