I have a glock 35 which is the special SWAT glock, it is a 40 cal. I also have a glock 26 (9mm) and a glock 27( 40 Cal). These are both the baby glocks. There is very little recoil with both and the 27 holds the same amount of rounds. Also the 15 round mag for my 35 can fit in my small 27 because they are the same cal. When I have to qualify I find no difference b/w the 9 and 40 as when shooting, but the 40 will have that stopping effect.

I kinda regret getting the 9mm but, it was my first glock and I did not know how they shot. I always used a Sig P20 45 cal. The 9mm I feel is just a little too small.

A little air weight 38 snub, mentioned before, is a really nice ankle gun and lightweight.

It depends what you really want and what the intention of the firearm is for.
