Default Sean Sherk: "BJ Penn is a punk."

Courtesy of MMAmania.com

Quote:
“I think BJ Penn is a punk. Who the hell is he? He’s won one fight in a couple of years now and it’s just whatever man. He wants to make all of these rules and regulations, but who the hell is he? I’m the champ in my eyes so I don’t care if he fights me or not, there’s a whole bunch of guys that could fight me right now. It’s his loss, not mine. He needs me more than I need him.”

hey...is that a sub quote?

Ah, some trash talk as we await the interim...I mean not interim anymore title fight.

That link only shows the "quick quote" WTF...where's the rest of it. Damn media!

I agree, BJ is at times a punk. He speaks his mind and more often then not his opinion is unpopular. Just the same, if these two square off it will be a great fight. I think BJ's BJJ is good enough to deal with Sherk's smothering style. A little bad blood never hurt either.

I love BJ and I like Sherk, but if he thinks like that I really do hope BJ spanks him.

I don't think BJ could sub Sherk. His BJJ defense is amazing.

By "BJJ defense" do you mean lack of a neck to apply a choke on? Joking, but seriously, this fight would be awesome. Classic wrestler vs BJJ matchup. Don't forget though, BJ Penn has knocked a couple of people out before, and Sherk has lost by TKO before.

Wow planting the seeds for the hopeful (sorry Joe Daddy) LW matchup that could make them a ton of money, and provide a possible Fight Of The Year. I love this matchup, and the imposing trash talk that will take place in the next 6 months.

hes talking trash as his reputation and career is erased (in my mind) with his steroid use.. his whole game is based on strength.. he cheated, sherk is the punk

What rules and regulations does he claim BJ is making?

Big deal. BJ started the trash talking, Sherk is continuing it. If someone doesn't like Sherk talking smack, then they shouldn't condone BJ doing it as well.

All this talk with Sherk and Penn. I hope Stevenson lays low under the rader and becomes and guy to upset the favorite.

I think this would be a great match. Sherk reminds me of a smaller version of Matt Hughes in that both are extremely strong and have great ground and pound. I think this fight will happen no matter what takes place.

Sean got stripped and I'm glad. He used steroids, he got caught and he's pissed. I think BJ could put him to sleep, and I hope he does.

Jay Cutler who is one of the biggest bodybuilders in the world (he won Mr. Olympia the past two year) is listed as having a 19.5 inch neck. Sherk does not have a 29 inch neck. I would bet my life on that.

I think BJ will handle sherk...I think back to how close BJ-GSP was...and then I think of how lop sided GSP-Sherk was. I know that was a while ago...but it is somewhat of a reference point.
