CONTEST RULES:
1) Private Message all picks directly to me, twigz. DO NOT post your predictions in this thread. If predictions are posted in the thread, your entry will not be included in the contest.

2) Your picks should include each of the following for every fight on the card:
--Winner of the fight (worth 1 point)
--Method of winning: TKO/KO, Submission, or Decision. A fight won by DQ will count as a TKO (worth 1 point)
--Round the fight ends in: The title fights are 5 rounds, all other fights are 3 rounds (worth 1 point)

Please use the following format when submitting your picks:

Winner/Method/Round

Example:
Penn/TKO/2
Lister/Sub/1
Sylvia/Decision

3) Points will be tallied as follows. Winner/Method/Round. You must have predicted the Winner correctly in order to have a chance to get the point for the Method.

You must have predicted the Winner and Method correctly in order to have a chance to get the point for the Round.

Any correct choice of Decision for the Method will automatically get the point for the Round.

4) Whoever has the most points at the end of the event will be declared the UFC 79 Predictions Contest Champion.

5) If there is a tie for most points at the end of the event, the person who predicted the main event outcome more accurately will win. If they are tied in their main event predictions it will go so on and so forth in that fashion with the next matches in the order at the top until we have a winner.

6) This contest is open to all forum members, including mods and admins.

7) The results will be posted and the winner will be announced in this thread once I have tallied up all the points. Only one entry per person.

The winner will receive 1000 forum points x however many people enter; and title of UFC Predictions Champion.

DEADLINE is Saturday December 29th at 5pm EST. No picks will be accepted after that time.

Make sure your picks are complete when you send them to me because once you send them in, they are final. I will delete any secondary picks you send. No changing any picks and any incomplete picks are not included in the contest.

Again, do not post predictions in this thread. Use this thread on for discussion.

Alright so lets do this, have fun, and win some points. Entry fee is 1000 points.

*NOTE* If any matches change to due injury or whatever I will disregard that whole match and will not count it all together.

Low turn out sucks...

But, the chatroom was also fairly empty last night.

This time last year, we had like 50 people in chat for Tito-Liddell.

Even still, thank you, twigz, for running this contest again.

We just need to stick with it. I think we will get more people eventually.

I didn't expect to win this one, but everybody else did really bad also. I picked all but two of the winners right but I hardly got any of the methods or the round they won right.

Yeah, next time I plan on trying to at least offer to pay the 1000 points for some people. Seriously, Opsy and people that bet all their points will need our help for contests like this. It would be cool, if the FF mods could provide a points pay out for an event like this. I think more people would play, if they knew it was free (no points) to enter.

Beazt, if you need points for the entry fee then just post in the thread and I'm sure people will help you out. Also as you can see, people bombed this one hardcore lol this is defin the worst I've seen yet.
